About this Cook
I cooked professionally for about 15 years and love to experiment with recipes.
My favorite things to cook
Stir fries, chicken and shrimp recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
This isn't a 'cooking' tradition but on Christmas I always have Lebanon Bologna rollups (thickly sliced Lebanon Bologna stuffed with cream cheese and rolled up)as one of the hors d'oeuvres.

Beef Enchiladas II
So what if this recipe isn't "authentic Mexican"? It's good, it's simple and it's nourishing. Add a little side dish, a salad and it's one perfect meal that can be a blessing to working moms or dads with little time to fuss around with exotic ingredients.

Easy Lemon Garlic Chicken
Lemon chicken is a favorite in my house and I make it pretty much the same way...simple. One thing I do not do is to reduce the chicken broth/lemon juice mixture. Because gravy is preferred here I saute the garlic and add the chicken & sauces. When the chicken is done I add a bit of cornstarch mixed with water into the pan to make a gravy.

Asian Beef with Snow Peas
There's too much brown sugar in it. Some sesame oil is needed. I'd suggest adding 1/2 cup of beef broth (or more), increasing the wine and soy sauce, plus a little more cornstarch. To me the best type of meat to use is the frozen, thin steak sandwich beef. Marinate the meat for a while to allow the wine and soy sauce to give it more flavor. For a healthy change add sauteed mushrooms, water chestnuts, a few slivvers of peppers, chopped bok choy and green onions.
