Asian Tuna Patties

While these had good flavor, they did not stick together, so I ended up with a crumbly mess instead of patties. If I made them again, I would maybe add more egg, or leave out some of the bread crumbs or cornmeal.

Cowboy Hash

I tried this recipe on a day when I found my whole freezer had defrosted and the only meat I had left to use was ground beef! It was very easy to make and my whole family enjoyed it. I used chili beans and 1/2 a pack of taco seasoning, as suggested by some others and served it over corn muffins. It's especially good with American or cheddar cheese melted on top.

Green Olive Chicken II

This turned out well and had very good flavor. I added a can of chicken broth instead of the water, and reduced the salt to 1 teaspoon.

Beefy Lentil Vegetable Soup

The only reason I gave this recipe 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel it is better with some modifications: an extra can of mushrooms (using the mushroom juice in place of one of the cups of water), no salt, and spicy V8 juice. With those modifications, I thought it was excellent and filling.

Chicken, Stuffing and Green Bean Casserole

This had excellent flavor; my husband and I really enjoyed this. Per some other reviews, I left out the salt, added double the green beans and put cheesy french fried onions on the top instead of cheese. My husband still sprinkled shredded cheese on the top of his however, so the next time I think I'll add some shredded cheese in the last 5 minutes of baking.

Quick Creamy Potato Soup

This soup was so simple to make and used basic items that I already had on hand. It was delicious, as good as something you'd order at a fine dining establishment. An excellent addition is shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Stir in just before serving.

Really Easy Bread Stuffing

This was very simple to make and quite good. Since I don't like onions, I didn't add them, but I still added about a stick of melted butter and some chicken broth for moisture instead of water. I served it with beef cubes and gravy.

Pasta 'All Amatriciana' with Artichokes and Olives

This was very easy to make and very tasty. I omitted the olives, because I didn't have any on hand, and used dried rosemary and parsley and it still came out fine.

Gravy Baked Pork Chops

These were so easy to prepare and were very tender and delicious. The only thing I would do differently is to leave out the water and only add milk and the soup. The sauce was a bit too runny with the water added.

Apple Dumplings II

My husband and I had fun making these; but we need some practice! I would recommend using an apple corer to core the apples instead of cutting them in half to core them; our apples ended up falling apart while they baked. And our syrup caramelized in the oven and wasn't edible. Still, very yummy taste.

Tuna Noodle Casserole II

This is good, but not as exciting as I had hoped. I halved the recipe, but kept the amount of cheese the same as the original recipe, and I felt it still wasn't very cheesy. Also, it doesn't reheat very well; the chips get soggy.

Kung Pao Chicken

I am constantly craving Chinese food, but can't always afford to go out to a restaurant. This meal I could actually make myself with easy to find ingredients and it tastes closer to restaurant food than anything I've attempted yet. The main modification I made was to add the water from the can of water chestnuts. That made the sauce runny enough for me.

Hearty Ham Casserole

This is good comfort food! The only change I made was to substitute sharp cheddar cheese for the processed cheese food, and it tasted great. It is also good with leftover corn cut off the cob instead of canned corn.

Tasty Tuna Burgers

These were quite good; I served them more like crab cakes - no bun, lettuce or tomato - with fries and fresh green beans on the side. I also added half a slice of american cheese to each patty. I will make these again!

Tomato Bacon Grilled Cheese

I have eaten grilled cheese and tomato sandwichs before, but the bacon in this sandwich was a nice touch! It makes a good summer supper when you don't feel like cooking something big. We made ours with whole wheat bread and it was just as good.

Asparagus Casserole

My husband loved this recipe! Since I can't eat shrimp, I left them out, and it still came out well. I also used fresh asparagus, which I steamed a bit first. This is a "keeper".
