Red Skinned Potato Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2015
Best potato salad, ever. Every place I've ever taken it, and my people at home have said it's incredible. I do add spicy mustard, but even without it this is the easiest and tastiest dish.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
I use this often, just as it's written. The best tasting chicken ever. I always marinade overnight for the best results.

Pork Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2015
I've never had cooked pork steak before and this was tasty and easy. I can see how easy it would be to over cook and make them tough. I did dredge the meat in seasoned flour before putting it in the skillet.

Broccoli Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2015
First off, you got to like curry. It's the dominant flavor. I never had curry before and this was a good step into the arena. I did however make a couple of changes. I didn't have 6 chicken breasts on hand or mayo, therefore I used 2 cans of soup and a cup of sour cream. While heating the sauce, I had to add about 1/3 of a cup of milk to thin it out some. I did have 2 broccoli heads and the measurements worked out to cover everything in the baking dish. I used 2 tsp of curry. This was a great combination of flavors. I will definitely be making this again.

Chef John's Salt Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2014
The salt was a the main flavor of the chicken, but if you like salt then you'll love this recipe. I'll make this again with a more controlled portioning of salt.

Easy Pizza Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
I followed the directions and let the sauce set out for a couple of hours. It was watery, and as written I would have put tomato water on my crust. So I cooked it on the stove, low setting for about an hour. The recipe itself is solid. The flavor combination is perfect. But you do have to simmer the ingredients if you want an actual sauce.

Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
I followed the directions exactly as written, and the dough was very easy to make. I learned a few things. First that this is A LOT of dough. I was able to make 3 mediums pizza with only half of this dough. Second, if you roll it out thin enough, you can put it on the grill with the toppings and it cook evenly. I'm not sure to what measurement I rolled it, but I felt a thin layer between my fingers and the counter. The taste was great.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2014
This was a super easy recipe to make and tasted wonderful. I did make the adjustment someone suggested, I used a full brick of cream cheese and only half the jar of alfredo sauce.

Carrot Patties

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2014
This was an odd flavor that no one in the family liked. I don't know if it was my prep, or how I created the patty but it was not edible.

Chicken Fiesta Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2014
The flavors were a good combo, but it was a mess to eat. I cut the breast into tenders and marinated them in olive oil and spices.

Krystal's Perfect Marinade for BBQ or Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2014
This is the best marinade for chicken! I lessened the vinegar by a 1/4 of a cup because I know my family's taste. The rest of the ingredients together was phenomenal. I marinaded chicken tenderloin in a ziploc baggie all day, and have the best grilled chicken.

Joanne's Super Hero Sandwich

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2014
The recipe as written was way too strong of a vinegar flavor. It overpowered the sandwich. I will cut the amount down to suit my family's taste buds. The rest of the sandwich was a good match. I liked the use of the italian loaf bread hollowed out to hold the deli meats.

Carrots and Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2014
This is a good side dish recipe. I made adjustments based on other reviewers and my allergy to onion. I left out the sugar altogether and cooked brown rice in chicken broth. It was really tasty. The creamy texture of the half and half was perfect with chicken.

Easy Lasagna II

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2014
This was a really simplified lasagna recipe that tasted great. The sauce and cheese mixture were simple and delicious, the using the water to cook the noodles is a great time saver. Everybody liked the flavor, and there are picky eaters here.

Southern Green Beans

I followed the directions leaving out the onions, I'm allergic, and this recipe was terrific. Great combination of green veggie with potato for a quick nutritious side dish. The taste was great.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2014
Other than the fact that 1 and a half, even 1 and a quarter cup of water was WAY too much water (only slightly less than half a cup will do), this recipe was easy to prepare and tasted good. I personally baked them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper at 350 degrees for an hour versus the oil and skillet.

Broccoli Noodles and Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2013
This dish is bland, to the point of being almost flavorless. As the recipe is written, the proportions were way off balance. A 16 oz bag of noodles did NOT get bubbly cheese surrounding them, just dry. As written, this recipe isn't worth making. Lessen the noodles by half and add spices that suit your taste and this might be a worthy side dish.

Oven Brown Rice with Carrots and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2013
This was an easy recipe to make with simple ingredients. The flavor was a nice compliment to the chicken I made. The only issue I had was with the amount of cooking time. It took the dish an hour and 25 minutes to cook down at the directed 350 degrees. But once it was done, the dish was nice and creamy.

Final product came out bland and slightly bitter. The actual recipe was easy to prepare but needs some tweaking.
