Challah I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2005
My official bread recipe now! I'm like others - a complete disaster any time I try making bread. But no longer! This one turned out nice and fluffy, and a great flavor. Better than the bakery bread! I was absolutely amazed with myself. You have restored my hope in making home made bread. Thank you so much!

Apple Crumble Pie

Excellent recipe. I added a little extra topping, and it turned out a bit too doughy, so I don't recommend that. It's such an easy recipe, and so delicious. Thank you!

Oven Fried Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
Great recipe for the healthier alternative to fried chicken. It was moist and juicy, and the outside crunchy. I added some saltine cracker bits to the breading for a little extra crunch. I also did chicken strips, so it only took about 30 mins. Tossed some leftover alfredo and marinara sauce in a pan, added some canned mushrooms. Threw it all on top of some vermicelli noodles and voi la! An awesome dinner. Thank you so much! Will definately add this to our "regular" meals.

Baked Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
Way too dry...I read all the reviews and added extra water and milk. Still too dry. And the spice put me off. Wasn't at all like Mom used to make. Won't do this again.

Passion Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
These are very rich and oh so tasty! Great dessert, and very easy to prepare! I didn't have enough PB on hand so I used some PB chips - with milk choc. - melted those down and mixed with the condensed milk. Thank you for a unique bar!

Fudge

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
Fabulous! Smooth...really can't go wrong with this one. And when it's hot it's PERFECT hot fudge sauce for a sundae! Just like what you get at the DQ. Will use this recipe forever! Thank you for sharing the secret!

Balsamic Glazed Carrots

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2005
Very good...I usually make my carrots sweet so this was a welcome change. I'll reduce the amount of vinegar next time as it was a little too runny for my taste. But excellent flavor!

Naan

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2005
Didn't really taste like naan to me. Don't know what I did wrong. It wasn't bad, just wasn't naan. More like a bread pancake. Good for dipping in hummus, but, don't know what else I'd use it for.

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2005
These had a really nice flavor. The texture was not quite what I was looking for. The outside of the cookie gets very crispy...center stays nice and soft. But if you like doughy cookies, only cook 7 mins. They are completely white - no brown edge, but believe me, they sit 2 mins and the outside gets crispy. 5 stars for flavor, 4 stars for texture.

Hummus III

I used my blender, and although time consuming it was worth it. I added a little more tahini sauce, and it was perfect. Will be using this recipe in the future.

Whole Wheat Pita Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
I don't know what I did wrong, but mine barely puffed up, then flattened. I just like my pita more fluffy, bread like. It was edible but I won't make again.

This is a tasty marinade. But a little overbearing for salads. Overall a great recipe. Thank you!

Buttery Cooked Carrots

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2005
Nice flavor, but every time I make this there is too much water left in the pan. I always add more sugar too...I like mine a little sweeter. Overall, great recipe. I've used it many times.

Oven Baked Potato Wedges

I used a little too much seasoning and not enough potatoes, so mine turned out a little overbearing. But I think it's overall a great recipe and very simple! Thank you!
