Caper Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
I actually made this with pork instead of chicken and it turnd out great. It really sounded weird with the steak sauce in it, but it really added a great tang.

Mardi Gras King Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2010
I made this for a Mardi Gras party for a class. Everyone said that it was traditional tasting, and complemented it. I used my bread maker for the dough as well. I think it would have been better with some other type of filling, but it was pretty good.

Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2010
Oh yum! Almost like a thin brownie. They spread a little more than I thought they would, so make sure and give them room on the cookie street.

Apple-Raisin French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I made this dish for an early morning meeting and it turned out great. I used cream instead of milk, and I omitted the raisins and used half the cinnamon because I used the cinnamon raisin bread. I also soaked the bread in the egg mixture before placing it over the apples. Other than that I followed the recipe exactly. I will definitely use this recipe again.

White Chocolate Gorp

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
All I have to say is don’t use Nestle premier white morsels. It wouldn’t really melt and the whole thing just didn’t turn out right. I don’t think I’ll be taking the time to try and make it with a better white chocolate, maybe milk chocolate if I ever feel like trying it again.

Marie's Easy Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Slow cooking always turns out so good its hard to go wrong. Mine turned out wonderful. I only changed a few things. I omitted the celery, added a few cloves of garlic, fresh mushrooms and a small can of golden mushroom soup. It had so much flavor, and was so tender. I will definitely making this dish again.

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
Mine turned out great. Topped it with a little brown sugar ice cream and it was heaven. I didn't have any self-rising flour so I used the all purpose flour, salt, and baking powder and my crust turned out crisp. I also did the layering thing to cut the prep time. Unfortunately, my neighborhood grocery store didn't have any fresh blackberries so I used two bags of the frozen blackberries and it worked out fine.

Chicken a la Creme

I whipped this up after a long night at work. It was very quick and delicious. I sautéed a little garlic and onions with it and it turned out fabulous. Be sure to get that french bread.

Three-Berry Lemon Trifle

Made this for a dinner over at a friends house and it turned out great! Everyone really enjoyed it. I ended up using two bags of thawed frozen mixed berries and it still turned out terrific.

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
Very good. I used a 10 minute marinade instead of the egg and garlic just to save time. It was Mrs. Dash zesty garlic and herb marinade. I think artichoke hearts would be good in this as well. I really enjoyed this dish. =)

Sausage Cheese Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
Made these for a Christmas party and everybody loved them. I think next time I'm going to use a hot sausage and mix in a little jalapeno jack cheese with the cheddar to kick it up a notch. I like a lot of flavor.

Zesty Zucchini and Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This is a great recipe! It didn’t seem too spicy to me. The green chilies added that nice little kick. I also sautéed the onions and some garlic in the pan just until the onions started to turn translucent before I added everything else in. My boyfriend loved it and I’m sure I’ll be making it again. :)
