Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2013
I make the curry yogurt as a dipping sauce for fried chicken strips now any time we buy them.

Chicken Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2010
A great chicken and flour tortilla enchilada recipe. If you don't like mushroom soup, you can substitute cream of chicken.

Easy Decadent Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Good base recipe with excellent flavor but...the filling never completely firms up. I read two other reviews on this, one said to substitute some chocolate coating which has a higher wax content. Another just suggested just dipping the centers in chocolate coating after forming the balls and before applying the coating. Both would solve the problem with the balls not firming up. We devoured them even though they were soft and messy. Used four different coatings - Oreo crumbs, cinnamon and powdered sugar, powdered sugar, and hot chocolate mix.

Hasenpfeffer (Rabbit Stew)

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Red wine and peppercorns make an excellent sauce for any wild meat. I use a similar sauce as a gravy for venison and goose; the main difference is that cream is added at the very end to make the gravy. We used this recipe to cook cottontail. It was fantastic.

BAKER'S ONE BOWL Million Dollar Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
I compared this to the recipe on the jar of Jet Puffed marshmallow creme and this recipe uses way more chocolate. That recipe makes good fudge. This recipe makes great, rich, fudge. My only comment is that you better have a really big pot. Use a candy thermometer and take the mix to at least 234 F.

Lemongrass Ground Beef Skewers

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2009
I added fresh ginger and substituted soy sauce for the salt. The substitution was a mistake and made the meatballs too moist. Other than that, they tasted great. The flavors work really well together. I wanted a sauce to make them a little juicier, but everyone else in my family liked them as they were.

Winter Fruit Compote

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
I had to modify this recipe to the ingredients I had on hand, but we loved it. I used 1 cup fresh figs in place of the dried figs, pear nectar in place of the apple juice, and dried mango in place of the apricots. I added lemon zest and served the compote over chicken cutlets. It was fantastic.

Baja Chipotle Fish Tacos

Made with individually frozen halibut fillets cooked on the broiler, this meal is incredibly quick to prepare. The simple sauce is fantastic and one of the reasons I like the dish so much.

Chicken In Basil Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2005
This is one of my favorite recipes. I have used purple basil, sweet basil, and lemon basil. I like it best with the purple basil, it looks very extravagant. If you like the peppery taste of basil, then this dish is for you.
