Delicious - rich and flavorful. We sauteed the onions for over twenty minutes and they were not deep brown, but definitely sauteed enough for the soup. We served this as an appetizer at a dinner party and served the beef tenderloin with roasted shallots (on this site) as the main dish.

Best Ever Muffins

Good, but not as sweet as I thought they would be. The presentation is great though. I used blueberries (about two cups). I will try again and experiment with different ingredients.

Earthquake Cake I

We made this cake for a family dinner party and it turned out very, very good. It's great for chocolate lovers. The homemade icing was rich and chocolaty. I also added extra confectioner's sugar (about 1 cup) to make the icing thicker. It's a very easy cake to make, too. It went well with vanilla ice cream!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

I added extra blueberries and used pecans instead of walnuts. Did not use lemon zest yet bread still had a distinct lemon flavor. Very moist and great with ice cold milk!

Baked Vegetables I

Vegan Black Bean Soup

Delicious! Similiar to a black bean chili. Very easy to prepare. I'll look forward to having this soup a lot in the winter months.

Granola Bars III

Soft and chewy. Very tasty. I did not have raisins, so I used craisins, dates, and coconut. I also added pecans, almonds, and cashews.

Tiramisu Layer Cake

Light and tasty. More like a cake than an authentic tiramisu. I also added extra coffee liqueur. Chocolate shavings on top add a perfect touch.

Mexican Style Dip

As a vegetarian, I altered this recipe by using veggie crumbles instead of the meat and it turned out great. I would also recommend very strong chips.

Spicy Bean Salsa
