I have used this paricular recipe for the past 2 years and I love it. I've always chopped the pecans before adding to the syrup, but this year I did not. I figured that it wouldn't change the taste of the pie much and it didn't. I also tucked a cup of chocolate chips in to the pie shell before adding the pecan syrup in to the shell. It turned out fabulous!
