Just Me!
About this Cook
I love God, my family and the life I've been blessed with. Cooking is exciting and both scary all at the same time depending on what is being attempted. I love to try new recipes that please my friends and families. In particular, I love recipes that don't take too long to prepare but taste like they did! :)
My favorite things to cook
Fried chicken, macaroni & cheese and greens.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have the wonderful memory of cooking all night with my grandmother during the holidays. I sure do miss those days!
My cooking tragedies
Leaving the bag in the turkey, turning candied sweet potatoes into CANDY..., so many more I can name when I look back over my past.

French Toast I
This recipe is perfect. Instead of using my same old through together french toast recipe. I decided to try something a little different. I did make a couple changes as I added more cinnamon, nutmeg and doubled the vanilla as I used imitation. About half of the milk was replaced with coffee mate's coconut cream dairy creamer (refrigerated kind). It came out absolutely delicious. There are a couple other creamer flavors out for the holidays that I am going to try with this recipe. All I've got to say is YUMMO!!!

Sweet Potato Pie I
This pie tastes just like my grandma's sweet potato pie. Although, I take the lazy way out sometimes and use canned sweet potatoes by warming them first then mashing...regardless if you use canned or fresh, this pie is a true winner. None other compares. Thanks Joyce!!!
