Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
These go in my Christmas buckets every year!! I use white chocolate chips (Ghiradelli is fabulous) and add dried cranberries.

Very yummy, but I'm still looking for something closer to "restaurant style".

PARTY HIT!!! I also used chive and onion c. cheese, omitted the dressing mix and onions, but chopped up pickles for texture. YUMMY!

Filling possibilities are endless: fresh, hot applesauce, or cream cheese whipped with all different fruit or jams.

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Always a favorite!! No matter how many I make, they get eaten. The less potato you remove, the more filling they are. I always cut up the bacon before cooking and then cook it in a sauce pan, which is way more fun and I never burn my fingers crumbling it!

Frozen Cranberry Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
I omit the butter, and instead of crushed pineapple, use chunks and add 2 small cans of mandarin oranges. We freeze half in a loaf pan and serve half as fluff.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2011
Stayed soft for days!!! I used margarine and slightly reduced the salt. We poked 6 chocolate chips or white chocolate chips in top half way through.

So easy and so yummy. I use 6 blueberries per turnover, and always use more than one package of rolls!

Monkey Bread V

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2010
This is always a huge hit. I use a whole 4 pk of biscuits, and shake them into the cinnamon sugar in a gallon plastic bag, a handful at a time. I don't put all the cinnamon in at once, because it clings to the first few.

Bacon Cheeseburger Upside Down Pizza

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2006
I'm so sorry, but this recipe was really not worth the beef and bacon. I did not put bell pepper and used spag. sauce instead of pizza, but was just not too exciting. My husband said it wasn't goupy enough, maybe wetter?

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Didn't have buttermilk so i substituted: mix 3/4 Tbsp white vinegar and enough milk to = 3/4 cup and allow to stand for 10 minutes. The biscuits were easy to make w/ no cutters and very good, though slightly crumbly.

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Delicious hot w/ vanilla ice cream or cold out of the fridge the next day. Added the oats which was wonderful; did not reduce the sugar as recommended but will next time. May even omit it if I serve w/ ice cream again. Wonder about trying it with peaches?!?!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Very easy to make and w/ ingredients usually on hand. Was very good, but extremely rich (sweet). I went back and cut all of the pieces in half. Thankfully a little goes a long way because the dogs got most of it under the Christmas tree. (FYI, apparantly dogs love peanut butter and can sniff it out even when well concealed)!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Pickey husband couldn't stop picking at more and more of this!!! I used minced onions instead of real to make it more appealing to the family along with garlic seasoned salt and in the layers included some of the spiral sliced ham diced up which pushed this one completely over the top!

Cranberry Salad VI

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2005
Delicious and very pretty for holiday table. I added a can of mandarin oranges and pineapple tidbits which I had drained for 12 hours and a cup of marshmallows. Next time will reduce conf. sugar, as it was quite sweet.
