Creamy Italian White Bean Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2009
Great basic recipe. I used a large onion, 2 cloves of garlic, and 2 cans of chicken stock - omitting the water. Very tasty and satisfying, however next time I will start with sauteing some pancetta then adding the onion. Also when I make this soup again I will add the chicken sausage suggested by one of the other reviewers.

Family loved it! I used a whole, 16 oz, loaf of cinnamon swirl bread, so I increased the amounts of the milk to 2 cups and the eggs to 5, it came out great.

German Rouladen

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Terrific! Tasted just like the ones my German Nanny made. My husband and kids gave them the once over, but when they tried them they loved them too. I made some "dirty noodles" and cabbage to go with them; it was a great meal that brought me back to my youth. Thank You! The only changes I made were my Nanny's, I added bread crumbs to the center of the rolls, and wrapped the bacon around the outside of them.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Great basic recipe, kids loved it. In the photos looked a little pale & unappetizing so I sprinkled paprika on the biscuits when I added them into the cooker. I also sprinkled some on the chicken when plating and served with green beans. It help a little, some chop chives would help too. But the flavor was good and the dumplings satisfying and tasty.

Sweet Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2008
My family LOVED these muffins! They have never liked any of the other recipes I have used, but these were a hit. Thank you! I used canola oil as suggested, and I added cut up hot dogs in a couple for my corn dog loving picky eater --- she ate 2 of them! Thank you again, and I highly recommend this recipe.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2005
This has been a family favorite since day one. I kick up the heat a bit with 2 1/2 tbp chili powder, and a couple of dashes of hot red pepper sauce. I also add some coca powder (1tbs to keep it simple)for some balance and richness. Great recipe and really healthly.
