Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2004
This turkey came out moist, savory, juicy and tender. The meat was falling off the bone! I added lots of minced garlic, fresh sliced lemons, Hawaiian sea salt, fresh ground black pepper and fresh herbs (sage, rosemary, marjarom, basil, etc.) to real butter and olive oil and rubbed it all over the turkey and under the skin, cavity, etc. I also cut one lemon in half and squeezed it all over the turkey and placed the lemons inside the cavity along with half onions, more garlic and basil. I basted it every 30 minutes for 4 1/2 hours and took off the foil the last 30 minutes of the cooking process to make a nice brown color. I used a gravy/fat separator for the juice in the pan and added one package of turkey gravy mixture. I would definitely used this recipe again. It was easy, delicious and so satisfying! I served this with," Bread and Celery Stuffing," also from this website.

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: May 2, 2011
Wow! This is a Very good frosting. It tastes just like Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. It's pretty easy to whip up, very creamy and fluffy. Pipes easily onto cupcakes with no problems and stays fluffed up. I used Adam's Creamy Peanut Butter as well as Skippy's Creamy Peanut Butter interchangably and frosted on, "Too Much Chocolate Cake," and " Brownie Batter+Cupcake=The SECOND BEST Cupcake. Ever," recipes also on this website.

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: May 2, 2011
Very Tasty...Both sweet and sour but not overpowering-just right. I did add 1/2 cup ketchup, fresh grated ginger and garlic to the meatball mixture. Used a real Hawaiian pineapple, cut up, with its natural juices. I also threw a medley of green, red, yellow and orange bell peppers for color and texture. I served this over hot rice. Thank you for this tasty recipe. We all enjoyed this flavorful dish!

Florida Strawberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
Very tasty and moist. I only added 1/2 tsp of baking powder and the rest I followed to the "T". I had enough to bake 12 muffin cups and it came out nice and brown with strawberries poking out all over the muffins.

Orange Cilantro Rice

Reviewed: May 7, 2011
This recipes was tasty. However I had to cut down on the amount since I was only making for two people. I might have put too much cumin but I also think next time I need to omit the cayenne pepper since I don't like too much spiciness. I could taste the orange flavor in the rice. was nice. I made this rice with, "Marinated Tuna Steaks," from this website.

Lemon Thyme Rice

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Rice was good. I wish I could give it a five star but because I cooked this on a gas stove and it got a little brownish to black it was hard to tell the taste. It was fluffy and I could smell the aroma of lemon and thyme.

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Reviewed: May 8, 2011
Very good. I used half broth and half white wine and increased the lemon juice. Because I was cooking for two people I only needed half a pound of the chicken breast. I added lemon slices early in the cooking process. Everyting was tasty; just the right amont of flavoring. I ate this dish with, "Lemon Thyme Rice," also from this website. I will definitely make this again.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
Very easy and tasty! Easy to put the sauce and ingredients together. I love the mushroom soup simmered on top of the pork chops. I added 1 garlic clove instead of garlic salt and used Maui onions (sometimes Red Onions). I added a lot more sliced buttons mushrooms and I served this over hot rice. Fried pork chops with a creamy white mushroom sauce and lots of mushrooms is what I would consider comfort food. ONOlicious! UPDATE:10/07/11 Family request to make this again. Served with, "Bacon Rosemary Mashed Potatoes," and "Garlic Green Beans," from this website.
