Bechamel Sauce

Reviewed: May 2, 2013
This is a great recipe! i usually use milk instead of cream and it's just as successful. i also added some garlic. i used it as the sauce for my creamy scallop potatoes. Sliced potatoes, bechamel sauce and topped with cheese and a sprinkle of paprika. i sometimes grate the onion into the sauce or put sliced onions between the potato slices (depending if i have to hide the onions from the kids or not)

Tea Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2013
i am lactose intolerant so i made this with lactose free milk, added half a container of tofutti french onion cream cheese and 1/4 cup of veggie oil. cut my tofutti into the dough as my replacement for butter/shortening since i didn't have shortening. They turned out PERFECT! They were a hit with the family and i was asked to make them exactly the same

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2013
good recipe but since i am lactose intolerant i made it with almond milk (plain) and left out the butter. Depending on how watery your almond milk is you may need an extra egg. I am used to diluting my almond milk to a drinkable consistency (i find it way too thick). With these modifications it can be eaten by those who are lactose intolerant and gluten intolerant. Cheers!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2012
good recipe, was looking for something mom used to make when i was little. i haven't made these for my kids yet so now that they are a bit more mature and willing to try some new things, it's time for sloppy joes. I left out the brown sugar instead of cutting down on the ketchup like some reviewers indicated. i like my sloppy joes to be SLOPPY and SAUCY! i think ketchup has enough sugar in it as is and i probably put in about a 1/2 tablespoon of garlic but we are big garlic lovers
