High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

A friend gave me this recipe back in the 80s and it has never failed me. There is one thing she adds that makes it even better. Take a knife and plunge it into down into the top of the roast in two places every inch or so. Then push a clove of garlic (halved lengthwise) down into this pouch into about the middle of the roast. Let the roast sit like this for an hour or so before cooking, or even overnight in the refrigerator. Remove the cloves as the finished roast is sliced.
