Basil Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2012
This is SO much better than any canned soup! My kids did not care for it but I loved the fresh taste. This makes A LOT. I think this would be great to take to a pot luck or anything that feeds many :) I will be making this for the teachers at my kids' school (the kids may not love it but I know the teachers will!)

Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2012
I made this for dinner using Italian Sausage and it was very good. The flavor was great and we used it for biscuits and gravy. Using the grease drippings from the sausage is what gave the gravy an amazing flavor that didn't need very much salt or pepper

Old Fashioned Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
This was great rice pudding! My grandma baked her rice pudding so when in search of one I wanted one that was not just cooked on stove top and this is a great starting place! As is it is great, I let it cool for 40 minutes and it was still warm when I ate some...sooo good. I will try a shorter grain rice next time (for a creamier consistancy) but this is great!

Waffles I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
These were very good. I did add the nutmeg as suggested by another user, and that would be a great Christmas addition. For every day use I would make as is...better than Bisquick :)

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
This is a great-different-breakfast casserole. I used more ham than called for (I think the ham that I had was 16oz) but it was easy. I put the casserole together the night before and put in the oven while pre-heating and cooked for the same time.

Tortellini Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2012
This is a great recipe for a BBQ or pot luck. I made mine with the mini pepperonis and I think next time I will make with the regular because I think the flavor will be better.

Baked Potato Skins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2012
These are very good! They did take a little bit of time and I wish I would have baked them a little bit longer to make them crispy!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
This was great and easy! I forgot the onion but other than that it was easy and delish! The shredding of the chicken was the most difficult part of this soup :) It was a fantastic addition to our snow day topped with chedder cheese and corn chips

Grandma's Egg Custard Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2012
I don't know who in my family made this growing up, but making this recipe brought back the flavor. It was so easy, I had all of the ingredients on hand which was nice. I made it at night and ate it the next day and it was fantastic! I did take the advice of using one can of evaporated milk then fresh milk to the 2 1/2 c. Great!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
I don't make soup very often but I was glad I made this one to celebrate the first snow day from school! As another reviewer suggested I made my mostly in the crock pot. I used fresh broccoli instead of frozen. After 3-4 hours in the crock pot the broccoli fell apart and was very good! I didn't thicken it with the cornstarch since I didn't have any :) SOOPER good!

Quick and Easy Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2011
I love serving this at parties. I use buffalo wing sauce to give that tang. Usually I keep dumping the sauce in until it tastes good to me :) I serve with corn chips

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
Every time I make this the more I like it! I melt the cream cheese on the stove top add in the ranch and shredded cheese then the wing sauce and chicken then transfer it to my warmer for parties. Franks makes a "Buffalo" sauce that makes this EVEN BETTER! This is a great recipe for a party or an afternoon snack (like the one my son and I just made :))

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
This has become a dinner staple for take-alongs and for my family. It is easy to make in two 8x8 pans. Enough for my family and one to take to a friend. I used 1 lb of pork sausage, cooked the sausage, added the mushrooms and sauce, then mixed with cooked tortellini and into the pan covered with cheese. I LOVE this dish! Even though I haven't slow cooked it, this is a FAST weekday meal that everyone I have fed with it loves.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I used only jalapenos and no green chilies and it came out great. I thought the spice was fine, not too spicy.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
These took just as little time to make as a mix from a box only tased WAY better (could be the fresh berries). The cost was very comparable if not less than buying a mix, most ingrediants are kitchen staples so I only bought the blueberries. I really liked this as a base mix and I can't wait to try them with fresh raspberries!

Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2009
This is a great variation for tilapia! I don't believe that the cheese overpowered the fish at all, it complemented it very nicely. Thanks for the great recipe!

I made this cake for a cake walk for my sons school and it was the first to go! The Chocaholic who got it told me that it was AWESOME! I made as is, I added chocolate frosting to it, but was told more frosting would be good, but great cake!!
