Strawberry Cheesecake

I made 2 yesterday for a party. The best recipe ever!! Even my husband who normally doesn't like cheesecake raved about it! Really pretty easy and sooooo yummy! I used 1 springform pan and 1 9" fluted pan. Both worked . Just didn't take out of fluted pan to serve on plates .I used fresh strawberries from garden I had frozen, and the strawberry sauce you swirl through and then pour on top was incredible. Putting the extra sauce on top really made it beautiful and a fabulous taste. I did not change a thing with recipe. No need, loved it! Would give more stars if possible. Really the best cheesecake I have ever made!!

Slow-Cooked Green Beans

This was the BEST green bean recipe I have ever tried! Have to admit I was somewhat skeptical of cooking time also. Not anymore! I made it for a B-B-Que we attended yesterday( doubled recipe) and used fresh green beans , tomatoes, and onions from my garden. People raved about this dish. Even people who normally don't like green beans went back for seconds!! I was asked several times for recipe . This is such a keeper!! Would give it more stars if I could! By the way, chef John is probably my favorite contributor! I love all his recipes, always right on for amount, taste, and quality.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Great! I only had 8 oz. sour cream and added about 4 oz, vanilla yogurt. Also added about 1/2 cup more flour as batter seemed too runny. Also used chopped pecans , no walnuts on hand. Put 1 tsp baking powder as well, and did topping with brown sugar/cinnamon on top. I used baking powder as well as baking soda because I had read on review it didn't rise quite enough. Rose great! I think it also depends on size & ripeness of bananas. Mine were large and dark skinned so pretty liquid when mashed!
