White Almond Wedding Cake
I was excited to try this cake after seeing the positive ratings & reviews, but the final product was such a disappointment. The taste is still a lot like a box cake, only ...more artificial? I used pure vanilla & almond extracts - no imitations. The additional sugar is what really ruined it for me. Even plain, the cake is far too sweet (and I LOVE sweets!). I won't be trying to re-work this recipe. I will give it 2 stars for the consistency, though.
