Great Basic recipe! I add Orange extract to really bring out the flavors it brightens up the taste considerably..and yes alittle bourbon or other inexpensive brown liquor-- it makes a huge difference and I use a half can of Sweetened condensed milk .. adds a different flavor and helps smooth the texture. I added 1/2 c. of flour and I only use a 1/4 c. of white sugar and a 1/4 c. of dk brown sugar and add extra nutmeg to taste and Voila! super duper yummy pie !
