About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
~~~~~ One of my faves is Poopey Turds (Buckeye candy) I had never had them before I met my hubby, My Ma in law comes over with them one day and calls them poopey turds and apparently gets great satisfaction from my reaction! After a fit of laughter she tells me my hubby loved them when he was a kid and when he was a baby he was eating them and proudly named them poopey turds...the name stuck in the family. We all call them poopey turds and enjoy the faces of others who dont know what the heck we are talking about! LOL! We make them from scratch of course a few times a year :) ~~~~~
Janet's Rich Banana Bread
I made this with adding the sugestions from Naples34102...I accidentally forgot the salt and did not notice it untill I was writing this recipie with her suggestions combined on a recipe card for my box. This does NOT need the salt...I'm omitting it from the recipe..also, I was stuck using margarine as I was out of butter with the after Christmas baking bonanaza....This is the most delicious banana bread recipe I have ever made....Next time I will use butter as its what I use in baking. I can only imagine it will make the bread taste slightly richer. Delicious!
