Chipotle Mayo

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I made this the other night with yam fries. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I found it needed a little bit extra - I followed the recommendation of others and added 2 cloves of garlic and a teaspoon of lime juice. It was quite flavourful. I made extra so now I have sandwich spread on hand in the fridge in the small mayonnaise jar that I used for the recipe.

Butternut Squash Bisque

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2008
I made this recipe the other day so that I would have something on hand over the weekend when my husband or I needed a snack. I was surprised that he actually liked it! He's not a soup fan in general but he ate 2 bowls full. I've been told I have to make more! My mother-in-law commented that it would make good "baby food". (I don't know if that was a hint.)

Bacon Wrapped Hamburgers

I loved this recipe. I have a hard time keeping homemade burgers from drying out on the BBQ but these burgers were super moist (must be all the cheese). I omitted the bacon and it was still delicious.

Tangy Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
Usually my Aunt makes the ham for our Easter dinner, however, this year I was assigned the task. I tried this recipe. I realised at the last minute that I didn't have any honey. I substituted maple syrup instead. It turned out exceptionally well. I received lots of compliments from everyone. I didn't have the heart to tell my Aunt that I didn't use her recipe. A definite keeper!

Chicken Milano

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
I love this recipe! It's one of the first ones that I downloaded from this website 2 years ago. It's great for an intimate dinner when you don't want to cook a big meal. It's really well complimented with a strawberry spinach salad.

Ultimate Spinach Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2004
I used frozen spinach instead of fresh and cut back on the amount of mayo to just under two cups. It turned out really well. If you're going to cut back on the mayo, I suggest you not put in all of the two soup mixes as it makes it a little salty. I'll definitely make this recipe again!
