Caprese Appetizer

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2013
I also marinated the cheese and used medium bamboo skewers, with two cheese bites and one tomato per skewer. Easy and very pretty.

A Simply Perfect Roast Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
My first roast turkey ever and it was perfect! Used the stuffing recipe from another turkey on this site. Placed it on top of carrots. Used chicken broth and didn't need even half as it never dried up. Also, my family is Hispanic so I always add oregano to the salt/pepper mix. The turkey was moist, flavorful, very delightful. My family was quite impressed.

Classic Stuffed Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
Great stuffing, I actually used another recipe for the turkey. Used porcini mushrooms and left out the poultry seasoning. For the cubes, I just cut up half a loaf of stale French bread and about 12 slices of old sandwich nut bread. The mushrooms released so much liquid while cooking that I didn't add any water. Made the night before. Used a 15 lb turkey and had about 1 1/2 cup leftovers.

Viennese Crescent Holiday Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
I've been making these cookies every Christmas for three years now, without the vanilla bean part (not necessary). They are very delicate and break easily, so I've considered making them into some other shape, but they are scrumptious cookies. With chocolate they must be even better. My dad loves them!

Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2009
Definitely use the tips included in the most helpful reviews - I think they really made the difference. These ribs were excellent, comparable to restaurant-style - and I'm not a master chef.

Mormor's Randiga Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2008
I loved this recipe, although I confess I didn't even add the dressing - I like my salad plain. I would also add more egg next time, it was rather overpowering. Made it as a side dish for pork chops, and it was quite filling.

THE Pasta Salad

Reviewed: May 18, 2008
Great recipe, the basic sauce is superb and so easy, to play around with. I added mixed veggies to mine (corn and peas) as well as yellow pepper. Used red onions. I didn't have four hours so I just prepared the sauce ahead of time and left in the fridge for about an hour and half, then mixed with pasta (used elbow macaroni) and the other ingredients and popped in the freezer for another half hour. Had to double at the last minute because of unexpected guests. Everyone had seconds, including them.

Chocolate Chip Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2006
Having tried three other cheesecake recipes, this one had a great flavor but came out too dense and heavy, in the future i might try adding flour and/or sour cream (as i saw in another recpe on this site)for a lighter consistency. The crust was great but needed more butter to help form the sides. No cracks, smooth top.
