Wow! Sweet and Sour Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2014
This was really good and easy to adjust for your personal taste. I would have preferred it to be a little thicker so next time I will add more cornstarch. Also, this made A LOT. My family of four has now used it for two meals and we still have a large amount left. This will definitely be my go-to recipe for sweet and sour sauce from now on.

Sweet Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
This is my recipe (though I started a fresh account). My husband and kids always request that I make "my" spaghetti sauce. I love this recipe because it's so forgiving. I don't even measure ingredients anymore. Throw in some tomatoes, some paste, some brown sugar, and spices (I like to add a little extra oregano), and it turns out great every time. If you want it to have more kick, add some more chili powder, or crushed red pepper. Simple recipe. I have some in the crock pot right now. Great as leftovers and freezes well also.

Slow Cooker Homemade Beans

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2013
I made these for my daughters birthday bbq and everyone LOVED them. It was my first time making homemade baked beans and it was a huge relief that I picked an accurate recipe to try. I did follow other suggestions and cook my beans a bit before adding the other ingredients. Thank you. :)

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2013
I made this in a 9x13 pan (I forgot to note how long I baked it) and it was DELICIOUS. I have a husband and two small children who gobbled it up and kept asking for more. The whole pan lasted just over two days! YUM! I'm making it for the second time now and I follow the recipe exactly. Love it. Thank you!

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2013
So EASY and so delicious. I used fresh cherries that were a little on the sour side. Rather than sprinkling the sugar on top, next time i will mix it in (plus a little extra to make up for their tartness) and let the sugar soak in a little bit.

Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
I "eyeballed" all measurements and adjusted to my taste. I also strained the sauce before I thickened it. Cant wait to put it on the cheesecake I just made!

Shoyu Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2013
I made this for my husband and my in-laws and they really liked it, so I made it again for my side of the family and everyone LOVED it. My mom and brother even asked me for the recipe! I reserved part of the marinade and thickened it on the stove with cornstarch, and then I brushed the chicken with it towards the end of grilling. Delicious. Thank you for such a crowd pleasing recipe!

Dry Rub for Ribs

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
This was fantastic. I had never made ribs before and I was looking for something simple and tasty. I did what others said and left out some of the salt. I wrapped the rubbed ribs in foil and put them in a pan in the oven for about an hour and a half and then we put them on the grill with a little BBQ sauce to caramelize. I planned on making them "sloppy" after we took them off the grill with more BBQ sauce, but we didn't need to! Next time, we won't use any sauce because the rub was absolutely perfect.

Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2013
I love this recipe. I like to make it with leftover rotisserie chicken. I also sprinkle each sandwich with salt and pepper. Great on tortillas too!
