Slow Cooker Chicken Creole

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
I tried the suggestion of using the Rotel tomatoes and chilies. It gave the dish a Mexican flavor. It didn't taste like Creole at all so beware.

Sherry Wine Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
My husband and I loved this recipe. I did substitute one can of garlic mushroom for cream of mushroom because I already had it. It added a lot of flavor and I recommend it. This recipe makes about twice the sauce you need but I'm freezing it for another night. Nobody would ever guess how easy this is.

Flounder with Shrimp Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2007
I'm not crazy about flounder so I made this recipe with cod. The sauce is great! I'm thinking of new ways to use it.

Florentine Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
Careful with the lemon juice! I started with two teaspoons but it seemed to still need something. So I added the rest the recipe called for and it was way too lemony. I'll try the cayenne someone mentioned and stick with only two tsp lemon juice.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2006
I thought this receipe was a little bland. I think I'll cut half the cottage cheese next time and add more sharp cheddar for a stronger bite. Maybe add a little mustard, too. Great recipe to start with and adjust to your own tastes, though.

Roquefort Pear Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2005
Awesome recipe. I've made it twice already in less than 10 days. I'd never sugar coated pecans before and overcooked it a little. So make sure you cook on low heat!

Pita Pizza

Reviewed: May 9, 2005
Great idea! Pitas made a crispy crust and we used left over spaghetti sauce. We put the pizzas on the grill to toast the crust and moved it off the flame but left the grill lid closed to bake the cheese and toppings. Perfect for a party.

Gazpacho I

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2004
I made two batches this weekend and both were good. The second batch I made with rice vinegar as suggested in another review and I liked it much better. The vinegar taste was not so strong. Cilantro was also a very good addition. Don't skimp an the croutons!

Cioppino

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2004
I love this receipe because it's so flexible. Almost any seafood works so buy what's on sale! I like it a little spicier so add hot sauce but don't be afraid to play with the ingredients.
