Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2013
This was the perfect cake! So moist and fluffy. The only change I made was adding a little more chocolate, rounding up to one whole cup. This is my new favorite chocolate cake recipe.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2013
I loved the sauce on this recipe. I believe I make a pretty good fish taco already( i just cook them in a pan seasoned with lemon pepper and garlic), so I didn't use the beer batter part. But the sauce was exactly what it needed, loved it and will make it again in a heartbeat!

Country Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2013
So, I didn't actually make this recipe. But I saw the potential and thought I'd share with ya'll about my changes. I chopped some small bell peppers, as well as some onion and mushroom. Sour cream is way too fattening so I decided to use greek yogurt, non fat and it adds a lovely tang. also, way too much butter! I used 2 tbspns. I reduced the water drastically and, since I made a smaller amount of chicken, only one can of broth. The chicken I seasoned with parsley, basil, salt, and pepper. I added cornstarch for thicker gravy and topped it with chopped green onions. It was delicious! Spicy and tangy, perfect over sticky rice. I hope my healthier alternative helps someone. :)

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
Three words for all making this recipe: DOUBLE. THE. RECIPE. It makes too little in its original form, but man did it turn out delicious once I baked it in a 8x11 pan. But, even more importantly, carefully scan a recipe before following it blindly. I knew that there was way too much vanilla extract so i halved it. Also, I never measure my salt exactly, a pinch is fine. Last but not least, use common sense my lovelies and you'll have tasty brownies for sure. (:

This recipe turned out great after following Naples34102 directions. Thanks so much for posting that. P.S. I topped them with chocolate coffee frosting, amazing.

Best Moist Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2013
I loved this recipe! I was very nervous about making a chocolate cake since you can make one that doesn't have that really chocolate-y flavor. I did make a few changes: I added butterscotch chips, an extra 1/4 cup milk, an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder, baking powder instead of baking soda, and an extra 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Perfection when topped with a coffee/chocolate frosting.
