a great easy, go to recipe... even my husband can cook this! I use low sodium beef broth and use half the amount of butter called for. Comes our wonderfully everytime!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
excellent cake. I cannot say how authentic it is or not, but it was tasty. I was concerned that the 3 milks would not completely absorb, but I let the cake sit in the fridge for about an hour before serving... it was prefect! even better the following day

yum. really good rice side dish... used frozen corn instead of canned, as I prefer the frozen.

Tuna Salad With Fresh Dill

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
This was even better than I expected. The dill was perfect with the tuna and made for a different tuna salad. I also like the balance of the mayo with the yogurt. This will be my go to tuna salad from now on!

Black Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
Unfortunately my husband and I did not like this recipe. Overall it was very dry and just seemed to be missing something. Appears that most reviewers that enjoyed this, ended up adding and making tweaks.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2011
great recipe and so easy to make, even my husband could do it! a great starting point for a breakfast casserole as it can be modified to your liking with ingredients. for example, we omit the bacon and added red pepper. next time I think I might add some mushrooms as well

Easy Bake Fish

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2011
This was great. I used halibut instead of salmon which worked well. One reason I gave 4 stars though was because the cooking time was off. I needed to bake for an additional 10 minutes and increase the temperature to 350.

Anna's Amazing Easy Pleasy Meatballs over Buttered Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
Very easy dinner and overall good taste. It was even easy enough for my husband to make! Halved the recipe and then used 2 lbs of meatballs instead of 3. Definitely would not have been enough sauce for 3 lbs.

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I've made this twice now. First time with 1% milk and wheat bread, turned out rather dry. Second time with whole milk and french bread, obviously much better the second time around. A good basic bread pudding recipe

Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2010
loved this recipe! I always prefer a more sour cream based potato salad to mayo based ones, so this was perfect for me. The only thing I did not include in the recipe were the eggs because I didn't have them in the fridge, otherwise followed the recipe

Citrus Turkey Roast

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
Excellent recipe! I used a 2 lb roast instead of the 3, adjusted the ingredients appropriately. I also cooked it in the oven instead of the crock pot but look forward to doing it in the crock pot in the future. I added a little rosemary to the rub, which mixed well with the citrus flavor. Overall great recipe that I will use again!
