Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
Simply amazing! We pureed the garlic and herbs first and let the pork marinate as per some of the other suggestions on this site. The flavor is delicious!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
This is such a fantastic recipe! My husband and I have tried this with many different types of beer and they are all equally delicious. The onion soup makes the house smell divine. Use a good hearty/crusty roll, it makes a difference!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2011
This recipe doesn't need another 5-star review, but here it is. I don't toot my own culinary horn very often, but this pie was AMAZING. Grandma Ople's pie was definitely not a let down! YUM YUM YUM! I did add 1 tsp. cinnamon and a dash of clove & nutmeg, as per other reviews, added the apple slices with 2/3 of the caramel sauce, and brushed the lattice with the remaining 1/3 of the caramel sauce. MAKE THIS PIE, you won't be disappointed! :)

Taco Seasoning I

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
Made this last night when we realized we only had one taco seasoning packet. My husband is pretty finicky when it comes to spiciness, so I decided to try this recipe...boy, was I impressed! I will never go back to packet seasoning again. I agree with the highest rated review, 3 tbs. per pound of meat is perfect!

Cappuccino on Ice

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2009
Truly the perfect summer treat! You must use hot coffee so the sweetened condensed milk will blend in with the coffee. :)

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2009
This turned out amazing! Laid down 1/2 an onion on the bottom of the crock pot. put in my seasoned pork shoulder (garlic powder, a little brown sugar, and salt), then added a 12 oz. beer and a little bit of water, cooked it for about 10 hours...it fell right apart! Cooked in our casket iron skillet in oven with one bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's hickory brown sugar BBQ sauce, and enjoyed for 3 days straight! Definitely a keeper!!

Hummus III

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
Excellent recipe! I added a little bit more garlic, some cayenne pepper, crushed red pepper, and the reserved liquid from the garbanzo beans. It was SO delicious, even though it smelled like garlic in the house the entire day! Yum yum yum!!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Amazing recipe! I only used 1lb. of chicken, but kept the sauce the same. It was absolutely delicious! Added water chestnuts too, made for a good crunch!

The beer and BBQ sauce was great! The chops were a little bit bland, but next time we will add more seasoning.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Very moist! Cut the chocolate chips in the cake from 2 cups to 1 because we didn't have enough, and it still tasted great. Used the chocolate ganache recipe from this site for the frosting. Yum yum yum!

Alysia's Basic Meat Lasagna

Another wonderful recipe! Instead of beef, we used ground turkey. Also made our own spaghetti sauce using the "Best Marinara Sauce Yet" recipes from this site. I will be making this in the future!

Libby's® Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
Excellent recipe! Everybody loved this dessert, it was gone in an hour. I added 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1 tsp. extra cinnamon and reduced the cloves to 1/4 tsp. so it wouldn't have an overpowering taste. Also added a dash of ginger for an extra bite. Definitely a keeper!

Simple, simple, simple! Used it as a frosting, so I let it sit in the fridge for a while before whipping it the rest of the way. Tastes AMAZING!

Fresh Rhubarb Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2007
I make rhubarb pies for my grandpa about 2 times a year. He is always heavy with compliments! I don't add the butter and use a bit less sugar, he's more of a tart-pie kind of guy. Excellent! :)

Simply amazing. Everyone who has tried this recipe LOVES it! I made some slight modifications: I do not add wine, and added 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, and 2 tsp. Italian herb seasoning. I make it at least once a week!

Iced Mocha Fusion Shake

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
Amazing! It was a little too sweet the first time I made it, but over time I have gotten the recipe down to just the way I like it. This recipe never fails. I use Cappuccino mix and low-fat milk, sometimes it is nice with a bit of whipped cream. :)

Cream of Coconut Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2007
Very, very good! Followed the recipe exactly as written except I used coconut milk instead of cream of coconut (which I couldn't find anywhere). Added toasted coconut on top for a finishing touch. It was very moist, very delicate, and amazingly sweet. Perfect for families!
