Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Totally agree with the review for less confectionary sugar and less milk. I followed her recipe instead and it was creamy and delish!!!

Lemon Pepper Pasta Seafood

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2011
Thought it was good as a base. I added aspargus, cooking wine and fresh basil from the garden. I may add more garlic next time like some mentioned. I also put in some fresh lemon.

Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Best pork chops ever! The only thing I did different was follow others suggestions and used 1/2's instead of 1/4's. Would have given it 6 stars if I could.

Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
I have picky eaters in my house but my husband and son both loved this! Changed a few things to suit our taste however. Added black olives, jalepeno's and sweet red pepper and instead of shredded chicken used ground chicken which worked just as great! I also poured another jar of enchilada sauce on the top before baking and put cheddar on top. Super delish!! My husband asked if we were in a 5 star restaurant! Thanks for sharing!

Tuscan Pork Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I thought it was okay, but it was missing something. My 12 year old gobbled it down, but my husband thought it was bland. I followed another's advise and boiled some orzo which I thought was a great idea.

Delish. Just a few changes. Used half white and half brown sugar, used apple sauce instead of butter and added 1/4 tsp more cinnamon. Sooo good! Thanks a million!!

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2009
I needed something fast for Easter dessert! Found this and made it. Used a real crust and baked it first, then put the pie mixture over it and chilled. After it was chilled I drizzled chocolate syrup on the top. Very delish!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2009
The cookie itself was delish, especially with the oats. Gave it a different texture, however, this is a very fattening cookie, especially with the creamy center... butter AND heavy whipping cream? I did make the center and my husband and son said it didnt add anything to the cookie so I now make them w/no creamy middle. The cookie itself is great tho!!!

Buffalo Chicken Wings III

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2009
Thought these were good and not too spicy. For a real BUFFALO wing taste however, you'll need to add FRANKS hot sauce as the wings originated in Buffalo and that is the most important ingredient!

Vegetable Soup I

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I agree with others that it was missing something. I gave it another try and doctored it up some. This time it turned out fabulous! I left out the potatoes and salt. (beef broth is salty enough!) I added 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes, 4 tbs of worchestershire sauce, 4 fresh tomatoes, basil, one clove garlic, a handful of lentils and then i cooked elbow noodles and added them to the soup bowl before serving. I know I changed a lot, but this was the only way my family would eat it! AND THEY LOVED IT!! Try it!!

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
The chicken was a tad dry, even with the sauce. The sauce however had a great flavor. The next day we had leftovers so we shredded the chicken and made tacos!

Corn Chowder with Sausage

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
I made a corn chowder recipe I found in a magazine a long time ago but have since lost it. Today I went on line to find another corn chowder recipe and decided to make this one. Just one word describes it......DELISH!!! My 10 year old who is super pickey loved it too. I only changed a few things. I didnt peel the potatoes (all the vitamins are in the peel!!) I used chicken broth instead of water and I diced up some red bell pepper. It was soooooo very good!! Thank you for sharing!!!

Easy Apple Crisp with Honey

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2008
I thought this was very good, but I think it would have just as good w/out the honey. Also I had to add more butter to the crumbly top before baking as it wasn't crumbly enuff. For an extra treat, I put craisins on the top before I baked it! Thank you for the fast recipe!

Shrimp with Penne and Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2007
Made this for hubby's birthday last night and it was great AND light!! The prep time took longer than 20 minutes however. (Took closer to 35 minutes!) Changed up just a few things. Put in 1 1/2 pounds of shrimp instead of just a pound. Also I used fresh basil, left out the salt completely and used 1/2 cup of lemon instead of 1/4. (I freshly squeezed the lemons - makes a huge difference!!) It was wonderful!! - oh and I cut back on the zucchini and squash! We both loved it and I'll make it again for sure!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Lemon Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2006
First let me tell you that I picked the biggest zucchini I have ever seen in our garden! We thought growing season was over so we didnt bother with them anymore until three weeks later when we went out to rip out the plants! It was 19 inches long and 14 inches around!!! With that said, I made this recipe!!! Made just a few minor changes - I made muffins instead of the loaf and only baked them for 30 minutes. I used apple sauce instead of oil (heathier), put walnuts on top before baking and when they were done baking and all cool, I put a lemon glaze on top! DELISH!!! Thanks for a great recipe!!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2006
With an over abundance of zucchini in our garden I was looking for a good recipe for zucchini bread! FOUND IT!!! I didnt have the little loaf pans so instead I made them into muffins and baked them for 20 minutes. Very good. I would just add a tad more sugar the next time as my family likes things on the sweeter side! Thank you for a great treat!!!

Easy Baklava

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
I hate to go against the majority, but my family didnt like this at all. They all said it was too sweet. I love sweet things, but I felt the same. Tried it the next day to see if it tasted better and it was even worse. Sorry - Wont be making this one anytime soon.

Baklava

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
I hate to go against the majority, but my family actually did not care for this. Although the nut filling was tasty, the over all, was too sweet. I would definitely cut down on the amount of sugar and water that is poured on the top in the end. We ended up tossing this out. I'm sorry, but this one is not a keeper in our house.

A little watery for my personal taste. I followed the advise of another and added heavy cream and it was a little better.
