Orange Dream Punch

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
If you like orange dreamsicles, you'll LOVE this! I made it for the kids at our New Year's Eve party and the adults loved it just as much (if not more!). Of the half gallon, I used a 2/3 orange sherbet and 1/3 vanilla ice cream. It was beautiful and frothy.

Almond Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
Incredible flavor! Skipped the corn starch and butter because it's unnecessary. Also used half of the oil and didn't miss it. Doubled the marmalade. One word of caution: when adding the chicken to the skillet at the end, be sure to turn the temp down to medium or medium low and cover to avoid burning and to let the flavor simmer into the meat. YUM!

Guacamole

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
Excellent recipe. For a bit more flavor, I added a package of McCormick's guacamole dip seasoning. Also used the juice from 2 limes. Perfect!

Asparagus Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
Next time I make these, I'll use the thinnest asparagus spears I can find to make eating them easier. Also, I used sourdough and buttermilk breads. The sourdough rolled out better but didn't bake as well. Other reviewers were right that the bacon really makes this appetizer come together, so I doubled the bacon. Excellent advice!

White Chocolate Snack Mix

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2007
I followed the recipe as is except for 1 addition: Mix and melt 2 bags of white chocolate chips with Andes peppermint (or creme de menthe) baking chips. It will change the color, but it adds a nice flavor! YUM! Disappears quickly during football games!

The Best Red Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
This is such a great, easy recipe. The sauce is restaurant quality. I've made this many times and it's always perfect. I didn't change a thing!

Baked Spaghetti with Chicken

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
Excellent combination of flavors. Like others, I increased the sauce and garlic by 50%. Also cubed the chicken before marinating to increase flavor infusion. Yum!

Garlic Cucumber Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
Refreshingly different and tasty! I doubled the recipe and finely chopped the cucumber, placed in a strainer with bowl, lightly salted to draw the water out and put in refrigerator for an hour. Only change I made was to add dill. Served with veggies and pita chips. This is a keeper!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2011
I've never made banana bread before and this was a fabulous recipe to use! Easy and very tasty. The sour cream really gives it a good flavor. I wouldn't substitute with fat free (not good in baking), but low-fat is a good option. I love cinnamon, so I tripled the amount. Added a teaspoon of ground clove, too. YUM!

Thai Ginger Chicken (Gai Pad King)

Reviewed: May 30, 2009
This is a fabulous recipe with a nice balance of flavor. The only change I made was to use the chicken marinade from this site's RamJam chicken recipe to marinate the chicken for 2 hours first. YUM!

White Chocolate Party Mix

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
This is always a crowd pleaser. Try Cheerios snack mix for a different flavor than traditional chex. I've also melted a package of Andex milk chocolate mint baking chips to the white chocolate for a great flavor.

Cottage Cheese Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Wonderful recipe. The cottage cheese/sour cream really makes it interesting and tasty! I added a can of corn and a can of black beans (both drained and rinsed) to the chicken mixture. I poured just enough enchilada sauce to coat the bottom of the glass dish and then laid 6 corn tortillas open, the chicken mixture, the cheese mixture, 3/4 cup enchilada sauce, shredded cheese to cover and then repeated the layer. Everyone loves this meal!

Jalapeno Poppers I

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
These were a huge hit! I must have had larger jalapenos than other reviewers because the inside filling was just enough. Dipping in flour first greatly helped the Italian bread crumbs stick. Might try cereal instead next time for some crunch. Definitely wear gloves as others have suggested!

Veronica's Hot Spinach, Artichoke and Chile Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
By far the best spinach/artichoke dip I've made. I like things a bit spicier, so I doubled the amount of jalapenos. Used artichokes in water instead of marinated and fresh Parmesan is a must!

Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2007
Yum! I followed this recipe until the "mash" part. I placed all ingredients in an electric mixer and blended until the desired consistency was reached. I did add a small amount of milk to make it creamier. Not a morsel was left!

Hot Artichoke and Spinach Dip II

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
This was the best spinach/artichoke dip! Instead of plain artichoke hearts, I used a commercial artichoke tapenade, which also had chopped capers and green olives. Also used all 10 oz of spinach. YUM!

Excellent flavors! I followed other reviewers' suggestions of doubling the liquid ingredients and it turned out beautifully. I used chicken breasts; cook according to your preference!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
Great advice cutting down on the ranch dressing mix; 2T was plenty and even a bit too salty. I used Fiesta Ranch Dip for a little extra zip. Added orange bell pepper with celery to make interesting crunch. These were gobbled up quickly!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2004
Such an easy, tasty recipe! All of my guests loved it and asked for the recipe. The key is seasoning the refried beans! I intentionally left out the lettuce.
