Best Grilled Margarita Chicken... Ever!

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
I can't decide what rating to give this recipe. It caramelizes and makes for some gorgeous chicken, but it didn't add much flavor. I left the chicken in the marinade for about 8 hours, but still found it to be pretty bland. It's a shame, really, because it looked so good that we were expecting it to taste as good as it looked. I'd give it a 3 for flavor and 5 for appearance, so 4 stars overall.

Halibut with Cream Sauce

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
This was fantastic! I chose to cook this in the oven instead of using the foil packet grill method, but I'm sure it's just as good that way. The only change I made was to use panko instead of regular breadcrumbs. Everyone loved it!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: May 12, 2010
I've made this several times for different parties and no one ever seems to like it. It went mostly untouched each time. Someone told me it tasted like eating cinnamon cereal with fruit and no milk and another questioned why anyone would want to dip chips, even sweet ones, into fruit. Overall, I think it tastes okay, but not good enough to make again.

Brownie Torte

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
This was okay, but not great. I have no idea why, but it tasted sweet, yet not chocolatey. It was fast to put together and looked nice, but I don't think I would make it again.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
Absolutely delicious! I cut back on the salt after reading reviews and it was just perfect. I put this together in the morning and my husband grilled it the same evening, so it marinated for about 8 hours. It was so tender, juicy and flavorful! We served this at a party and people couldn't seem to get enough. We made twice as many skewers as we thought we would need and they all disappeared. This was a HUGE hit! We'll make this recipe often from now on.

Green Bean Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I expected these green bean fries to taste like the ones we order when we go out to eat. Unfortunately, they didn't. The bread crumbs made them taste like green beans wrapped in toast. Not a hit in this house.

Microwave Popcorn

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I have had this recipe saved in my recipe box forever. Today, when the kids wanted popcorn as an after school snack, I thought it would be a great time to try it out. It worked perfectly! We made a half batch at a time because the paper bags I have are on the small side. We drizzled it with a little bit of melted butter after popping and it was delicious. Much fluffier than typical microwave popcorn.

The flavor was fine but the coating never got crisp.

Plain Cake Doughnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
So good! I didn't add the cinnamon and nutmeg to the dough because we wanted to add different toppings. We coated some in cinnamon sugar, topped others with a chocolate glaze and left a few plain. They were all delicious and extremely quick to make. We will be making these again soon!

Easy Paella

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2009
Excellent! A big hit, even with the kids. The only change I made was to use a chicken sausage instead of choritzo because it's what I had. Next time I make it (and there will be a next time) I will reduce the oregano to 1 tsp. because it was a little strong for my taste.

Easy Chocolate Chip Bars

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2009
A little different than a typical chocolate chip cookie, but very good. I was concerned that they might be greasy so I reduced the butter to 3/4 cup. Super fast and easy to make. Perfect if you're out of eggs, too!

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
This was very good, but I think I would use a smaller pan next time. I found it difficult to get half of the batter to completely cover the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. I also had to bake mine for quite a bit longer than the recipe stated.

Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Delicious! I used chicken tenderloins instead of whole breast pieces, but otherwise followed the recipe exactly. My family absolutely loved it and requested I make it on a regular basis.

Asian Style Country Ribs

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
Amazing! The only change I made was to use bone-in country style ribs. Other than that, I followed the recipe to a tee. They were falling off the bone tender and delicious. I will make these again and again!

Shrimp Scampi III

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2009
This was amazingly good. The only change I made was to leave the garlic in (finely minced, not sliced) and to serve the shrimp without pasta. I was skeptical about the bread crumbs, but it wasn't the least bit "bready". The entire family loved this recipe.

Baked Oatmeal Squares

I'm sorry to say that I had the same experience as other reviewers. They fell apart and were impossible to cut into squares. The taste was fine but the texture was odd.

Sweet Corn Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2009
Incredibly delicious! I had the ingredients on hand to make this as the recipe states, but saw that another reviewer had used a can of creamed corn instead of frozen and eliminated the water so that's what I did (saved a little time). My family inhaled it. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could!!

I made this a while ago and I keep forgetting to review it! It is so fast and easy to make and the chicken comes out extremely moist and tender. I didn't change a thing and it was delicious.

Gobble Up Granola Snacks

My kids love these!! They ask for them all the time. I make them with Cocoa Krispies because that's what my kids like, but I think you could use almost any cereal. Fast and easy to make, too!!
