Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: May 17, 2005
This recipe was soooo delicious!!! I added some parmesean cheese, paprika, and some other spices. I dipped the chicken in the egg, then the breading, then egg, then the breading again. I served it with mashed potatoes, gravy and peas. I dreamt about it all night and had the left overs for breakfast! Thanks for the great recipe!!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2004
YUM YUM YUM!!!! I used 1 cup all purpose flour and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour, toasted coconut, and added brownie chips (like chocolate chips but a little different) to half the cookie dough. Everyone preferred the plain coconut cookies, though!! I will definitely make these again!!!

Banana Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
This bread was good. I used about 2/3 cup applesauce instead of oil and it ended up a little dry. Also, I chopped the pecans very fine so my little one wouldn't choke on the larger pieces. I think these would make better muffins. When I make this recipe again I will make them into muffins and add a little butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon topping for the last couple minutes.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
I got rave reviews for this bread!! I used 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary instead of dried (because I didn't want it to go to waste). It was so easy and very good!

Roasted Vegetables

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
These were THE BEST vegetables I have ever had!!! Even my 15 month old couldn't get enough! I followed the advice of other reviewers and cooked the potatoes (with a little of the sauce) for 10-15 minutes before I added the other veggies and the remainder of the sauce. I added asparagus, mushrooms, and (for the last 10 minutes) grape tomatoes. I will definitely make this recipe again!!

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
This was EXCELLENT!! I think it could have used a bit more rice-the added things (cranberries, almonds, etc) sort of took over. I wouldn't, however, cut back on the yummy additions!! I will make this again!! YumYum!!

Braised Lamb with a Sour Orange Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
I am not a huge fan of lamb, but this was pretty good. The lamb was very tender and fell apart as I took it out of the pot. The marinade gave the lamb a nice flavor.

Extreme Banana Nut Bread 'EBNB'

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2004
Holy Moly!! This was too good!! I was skeptical of the description and reviews so I had to make it to see what all the fuss was about...and now I know!! I can never make this again because I ate too much of it!! I made one loaf with nuts (pecans) and one with out nuts (I preferred the one with out nuts). Both loaves were beyond excellent!! The sweet butter and banana taste was delicious! I followed the advise of another reviewer and baked the bread for 55 minutes, which was just right. Forget your diet for a couple of hours so you can enjoy this yummy yummy bread!!!

Peking Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2004
This recipe was great!! The pork chops I used have been dry with every other recipe I've tried, but THIS recipe was a hit!! I only used about 1/3C soy sauce (I ran out), and added some water and a splash of red wine vinegar (to neutralize some of the saltiness I read about). I seasoned the pork chops with poultry seasoning, onion and garlic powder, salt and pepper. I put some baby carrots and sweet potato chunks in with the pork chops. I set the Crockpot on high for four hours then on low for a couple of hours after that, but I think it was all cooked and ready to go after the 4 hours on high. By the time I served dinner the pork chops were practically falling apart. I served it with mashed potatoes and salad. It was a very yummy dinner!!
