About this Cook
I have been cooking as long as I can remember. My first memories are centered in the kitchen. Whether it was making cookies, helping my grandma dip chocolates, or "inventing" something new, I have always felt that the kitchen is the heart of the home.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new dishes at a restaurant and then modifying them to make at home. Whether it is a main-dish, bread, or dessert, I love coming up with new recipes and modifying old favorites.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My very favorite tradition is making chocolates at Christmas. Truffles, turtles and toffee have been staples during the holidays since before I was born.
My cooking triumphs
Creating a recipe for chicken tacos with caramelized onions, cilantro, and my secret sauce--yum!
My cooking tragedies
I tried to create a new and hugely complex cheesecake for my husband's birthday, and although it tasted fine, the amount of work that went into it, the result was most disappointing.

Nutmeg Cookie Logs
I love nutmeg cookie logs! We have used this recipe for years and also don't color the frosting. We use a star tip to frost & also sprinkle with nutmeg. A holiday favorite

Sean's Falafel and Cucumber Sauce
This recipe is the greatest! It is the closest thing I have found to the little street vendors I used to buy falafels from when I was in Israel. Thank you!
