Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2004
My family loves this recipe especially with chili. Second time I made this, I substituted the white sugar for brown and substituted 1/2 of the white flour for whole wheat. This will be a staple in our household.

Baked Salmon Fillets Dijon

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2004
Very easy to make. I added just a little crushed garlic as well. My husband loved it but I think the salmon flavor was pretty masked. All in all, it'll be a great way to get my family to eat more fish.

Tzatziki Sauce II

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Very easy to make but I would let it stand for a longer period to let it absorb more of the garlic flavor.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
The whole family loved it. I substituted 4 chicken breasts for the pork. However, I will have to make more of it the next time...my husband wanted a third helping.

Creamy Potato and Leek Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2005
So simple and so good. Imagine spending Christmas day at Epcot, Disney World in the pouring rain. Now imagine sitting in their English pub eating this delicious soup. It warmed us up for the rest of the day. This recipe was exact. My whole family loved it.

Bananas Foster II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2005
Pretty good for a last minute dessert. The only thing I changed was I added 2 extra bananas which then gave me 6 servings. This is one I can definitely serve at the next dinner party.

Mom's Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2005
Easy recipe! As stated in previous reviews, I doubled the spices except the cloves which I omitted. These are great cookies - not too sweet.

I like this recipe...very chocolatey! I just don't find it as creamy as other fudge recipes.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
This is the ultimate fudge recipe! This tastes like my aunt's recipe...which was what I was hoping for. Soooo easy and sooooo good! I reduced the amount of sugar as recommended and it came out perfect. I was ecstatic considering this was my first time making fudge. My daughters and I love this fudge!

Chocolate Macaroons I

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2007
I couldn't eat these because I'm allergic to egg whites but my husband loved them. Aren't macaroons supposed to look like little mounds though? Did I do something wrong? I know my oven wasn't too hot because I have an oven thermometer. Doesn't really matter what they looked liked because they all got eaten.

Big Al's K.C. Bar-B-Q Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
This is by far, the best barbeque sauce in the world! I will use nothing else but this for our pulled pork sandwiches. This is one of those recipes that doesn't need any tweeking. Use as is and you'll have some happy eaters!

Gluten Free Banana Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
I'll admit, I did alter the recipe…however, my loaf came out very moist with 5 bananas & baking for 45 min. I cannot imagine how everyone else's is turning out if they're using 6 bananas and only baking it for a half an hour. This is how I altered the recipe intentionally & uninntenionally. Lemme explain… I assumed you needed Xanthan gum so I added 1 1/2 tsp. My family likes pecans & cinnamon so I added 1 cup & 1 tsp respectively. And finally, as previously mentioned, I only added 5 bananas & baked for 45 min. We really liked the flavour but it was very moist. I will make one final adjustment next time I make it & that is to bake it at 325 F for 45-60 min.

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
I made this for company & even my friend said this was way too much liquid for the amount of rice. It took 40 min to cook & while the flavour was excellent, it was mushy. I will make it again but reduce the liquid to about 4 cups.
