Ham and Cheese Breakfast Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
We had this for dinner, actually. It was a hit ~ even to my 9 year old daughter who detests ham. She asked for seconds. I basically followed the recipe...but I had a huge bag of hashbrowns, so I doubled the eggs and cream and cheese. I made it in two different dishes. One was a not so deep but large stoneware dish and the other was in a deep pie dish. The deeper one came out way more fluffy. I think that next time, I will put it all together in one because of the fluffiness. This is a keeper :)

Yummmmmmmmmy :) My fave recipe! I made this last year for Thanksgiving and got requests to bring it for this years dinner :) I omit the nuts because my son is allergic, but it is so good without that you just don't miss it!

Oatmeal Butterscotch Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
These cookies tasted very good...they were moist and had a perfect taste...but they didn't hold together well. The only thing that I changed was with the brown sugar/white sugar. I didn't have enough of brown sugar, so I added a little bit more white and added a tbsp. of molasses (that is all that brown sugar is anyhow). I have had this problem before with oatmeal cookies, though.

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Not the best. I didn't have parmesan, so I used 8 oz. of swiss. Everything else was followed. I am trying to find a quiche recipe that I had made before but this wasn't it.

Bacon Cheese Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Good texture...but definitely something missing! The flavor was off. I will try to make again ~ but I want to play around w/ the spices as this just didn't work for us.

Tater Tot Casserole II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2008
This was ok. I will make again, but will make some changes suggested by other users. I made it mostly according to the recipe, but I browned the beef first and only cooked it for 30 mins ~ which wasn't enough. It was still just warm. I should have cooked it longer.

Gourmet Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2008
This was pretty good. Definitely not the best that I have had, but it is a good recipe! I think what I didn't like about it was the cucumber dressing ~ but I am just not a big cucumber fan. I would try again w/ mayo :)

Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2008
Very good! I eliminated the butter and the olive oil and used Pam spray for less fat (worked really well :)). I didn't use the sherry, either, though and I cut my chicken up into bite sized bits AFTER it had cooked in the mix so that it would be more tender and easier for my kids. Wonderful! Will make again! Thanks!

Was ok ~ but needed more of a tomato flavor to it. Not the recipe I was looking for. Still trying to find the cabbage casserole that I made long ago!!!

Swiss Chicken Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2008
Very good! This was a hit here at my house ~ my hubby is not a big chicken fan, but loved this dish! He even went back for seconds. The chicken was so tender :) The only complaint that I have is that it seemed very full of salt ~ which I know came from the stuffing. Anyone know how to make a less salty type stuffing or one that I could buy?

Vegan Brownies

These were great as the recipe is. If there is anyway to cut the sugar, I would love to know, though :) 2 cups is alot of sugar...but it is ok for an occasional treat :) It was nice to be able to give my allergic child something he could have (he is allergic to dairy, eggs and peanuts).

Corned Beef Hash (Abalos style)

Reviewed: May 1, 2007
Albeit is not a pretty dish to serve to a bunch of ladies at MOPS...it was pretty tasty :) I would never make it for a crowd, though cause it does look like typical hash.
