This was a complete success despite having fouled up the recipe mid-stream. Instead of whisking the mascarpone into the custard, I mixed it with the whipped cream. Having caught my error just after making it, I took half of the mascarpone mixture and mixed it with the custard. I'm sure it didn't really matter, but the end result was a bit more soft and creamy than the other tiramisu I've had. It was still wonderful and delicious and as I can recall, the best I've ever had. My family agrees.
