Toasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2012
The family loves this recipe! It's a keeper in our books! Followed the recipe exactly as instructed, and had great results.

This recipe is fantastic! The chicken is extremely flavourful - definitely a keeper. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Pork Chop and Feta Skillet

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
We had this for supper tonight, with some pan-fried potatoes. The pork chops were very flavourful, and we all enjoyed the dish. Would probably make again. Tip: Resist the urge to put on extra feta cheese - a little is all that is needed.

Bruschetta with Shallots

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
This recipe was slightly above average. It's not the best we've had, but it was okay (added balsamic vinegar like other posters suggested, and it seemed to benefit from it).

Honey Garlic Ribs

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2006
This recipe (made exactly as specified) was really underwhelming. I've had much more flavourful results with other recipes. I don't know why, but this ended up being quite bland.

Garlic Bread Fantastique

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2006
I, too, had forgotten what previous reviewers had said about it being salty and followed the recipe as written. While it was good, it was way too salty. Also, I thought that the spread would be richer, given it has mayonnaise in it. All in all, not bad, and my husband quite liked it. However, I will make this again with half the salt, and perhaps fresh herbs as opposed to dried.

Classic Minestrone

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2006
I made this soup exactly according to instructions, and it turned out okay -not great, but okay. For a much more flavourful minestrone soup, I prefer "Minestrone Soup I" by A.Hatton on this site.

I don't know what everyone else is going on about. Sorry - just didn't do it for us, at all.

The Amazing Swedish Meatball

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
My family really liked these - I'm sure I'll be making them again soon. However, even with 1 tsp. salt in the sauce instead of 1 Tbsp., it was still slightly too salty, so I will add even less next time. The only change I made was I added a couple of teaspoons of beef bouillon powder to the boiling water. Thanks, Kari!

Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
This turned out just okay - would probably search for a different recipe next time I have extra apples on hand. Although we enjoyed it, it is not something I would make again - far too sweet, and a bit runny. Liked the idea of maple syrup though.

Minestrone Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2005
This recipe is definitely a 'keeper' - it turned out very, very flavourful. The soup was filling, yet not heavy. I substituted 3/4 of a zucchini for the cabbage (for no other reason than I didn't have any cabbage on hand). Will be making this again and again.

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2005
Agreeing with other posters, this dish lacked a certain something. I followed the recipe exactly, and while it was good, I don't consider it a 'keeper'.
