Best Ever Banana Bread

So disappointing! I followed this recipe exactly, although I had to make my own buttermilk (1/3 cup milk with 1 tsp. lemon juice...let sit for 5 minutes), which is a standard substitute. For as much sugar as is in this recipe, it was not as sweet and did not have as strong of a banana taste as I would've liked. I prefer really moist, almost creamy banana bread, and this was not that moist. The crust around the sides did get kinda crispy, which was yummy, due to the high sugar content. I added the optional pecans, which I think made the bread seem even more dry. I like pecans, but did not like their flavor in this bread. I will keep searching for a more moist, stronger banana-flavored bread.

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Good recipe, except there was not enough sauce for all of the pasta. I added more flavor by adding sauteed shrimp, mushrooms and peas (in a garlic herb marinade -- and I added the marinade too) to the sauce at the last minute. The leftovers were decent tasting, but the sauce separated. Definitely use freshly grated cheese.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Wonderful potroast! So so so easy to make, and had a very good, strong flavor. I would definitely recommend cooking it on low for the longer period of time, it improves the meat greatly. The leftovers were yummy too - my mother even said they tasted better a few days later because the flavor really soaked into the meat. Thanks for the recipe!

Sweet Honey French Bread

Really disappointing. There aren't that many reviews, which I normally look for, but I took a chance with this recipe. The flavor was fine, and it was really crusty (which is good) and soft in the middle, but it was VERY small and dense. I used new yeast and follwed the directions exactly, so I'm not sure what the problem was.

Best Bread Machine Bread

This bread turned out pretty well. It rose to a perfect level. The crust is good - but not as crispy or flaky as I would have liked. My only actual problem with this bread was the flavor. It wasn't bad, just bland. I made it again, only I added one tablespoon basil leaves and one teaspoon each of oregano, garlic powder, and onion powder. This one has a much better flavor, but next time I think I'll add even more garlic, onion, and oregano. Thanks for the recipe!
