Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
This is a really good and simple recipe. There was one serving left and I think it will be very good for breakfast, that’s if my husband doesn’t have it for his late night snack.

Strawberry Vanilla Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
These were really light and fluffy. My batter was somewhat runny so I added two more tablespoons of flour. I used the suggested amount of vanilla and thought they were really good. My kids were happy and surprised to get such a nice breakfast on a weekday.

Grilled Peanut Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2009
This is a very good recipe and the sauce is delicious. I wish I had listened to other reviewers and made enough sauce to go over my noodles. Will certainly do that next time.

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
This is a tasty and healthful way to prepare beans. It was well seasoned as is but we like things hot so next time I will add more jalapeño.

I really enjoyed this, the flavors came together nicely. Also like anything that allows me to get extra fruit and/or vegetables into my kids.

Oatmeal Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2009
I like the fact that this is fairly healthy. I did substitute applesauce for the oil like I do in most recipes. I didn’t care for the texture. My kids really liked them and because of that, I will make again.

Sweet Cottage Cheese and Bananas

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
I planned to make a smoothie for breakfast but there was no yogurt, then I remembered I had saved this recipe a while ago. What a tasty surprise. I will definitely have this for breakfast on a regular basis.

Lime Cilantro Rice

We all loved this rice. I cooked it in a rice cooker and then mixed everything in a bowl. The rice came out fluffy and tasty.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
This recipe got mixed reviews in my house. My son and I (who both love grilled salmon) didn’t care for the sweet taste. I did like the texture though. My daughter (who doesn’t like salmon) loved it and wanted more. My husband thought it was okay.

Tartar Sauce III

Reviewed: May 31, 2009
We only use tartar sauce on fried fish and I fry fish about twice a year. I have always bought the smallest jar of tartar sauce in the past but even that went to waste. I halved this recipe and it was great. It tasted so fresh even though it’s just mayonnaise and a few other ingredients. I didn’t add any salt and it came out perfect. I’ll never buy store bought tartar sauce again.

Pepper Steak and Rice

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This dish was quick and easy to prepare. I agree with others that it lacks flavor. I used what I thought was enough salt but still was kind of bland. My kids didn’t think it was bland, they loved it.

Raspberry Lemonade Pie

This pie was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately it did not look nearly as pretty as the picture. I followed the directions to a tee. Will make it again for the family but not sure I will be serving to anyone else.

Ultimate Green Beans

Reviewed: May 9, 2009
Wow. These were really delicious and so easy to prepare. Next time I will probably omit the butter as it didn’t really add to the taste but it did add to the calories.
