Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2013
Its a good base recipe for banana bread, but definitely used all the suggestions found in the comments. The addition of nutmeg, cinnamon and vanilla made this a great bread.

Chicken with Lemon Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2012
A great recipe. 1tbsp of lemon juice will be mild, so add a bit more if you want a lemon bite in the sauce. I made one small modification and used 1/3 c of apple juice and then topped it off with some leftover white wine. Also used the juice of a whole lemon and the husband stole all the sauce!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2011
This cake is easy and so delicious! I made cupcakes using this recipe - the batter yielded about 3 dozen, baked for about 17 minutes. Followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect! Thank you!!

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
Gave this a 3 star rating only because it works more as a base recipe than the real deal (but if I were a first time cheesecake maker, this would be a great recipe!). I just made this tonight as individual cheesecakes in a muffin pan and they were tasty but missing something. I'll definitely try this again but I'll be sure to follow some of the modifications listed in the reviews.

Butterscotch Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
A super simple recipe to make amazing bread pudding, even if it's your first time! I used this recipe on Saturday to make bread pudding for the very first time and I got nothing but raves from everyone. I followed previous suggestions to reduce the brown sugar to 1 c and substituted 2 c of milk with half and half. Used a loaf of sourdough bread and it was delicious. Will make again.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
I prepared the recipe "as is" and it came out wonderfully. The boyfriend loved the meal (although he'll almost eat any kind of fish made any kind of way!). I didn't rave about it as much as I thought it could use a pinch more flavoring. Next time around, I'll try some of the previous suggestions to spice up the recipe and see what happens next, but I'll definitely use it again! Very simple and easy to make, it takes some of the mystery out of making fish. Thank you so much for the base!

Orange Chicken Stir Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2006
This was a flavorful and tasty dish. I did without the chow mein and stirred in noodles. Next time I make this I would recommend placing the chicken on top of a veg stir fry using the same sause as its base.

Rushin' Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2004
I was very tentative about using a garlic/yogurt mixture as dressing, but I tried this recipe and my boyfriend found it very enjoyable (he wished that I had used more cinnamon!). In any case, overall a very easy and pleasant meal. Try it sometime.
