About this Cook
My name is Rebekah. I am 22 years old and married for 2+ years to my husband, Cristopher. He grew up eating simple southern foods, but is part Italian and appreciates good food. (haha) I am part Italian as well, and my grandmother baked a lot growing up. I would often help her do so, and I believe that that is what has planted a seed of love for cooking in my heart. I especially love to bake (like my grandmother does).
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake desserts, main courses, and dips. I also love making pasta dishes and other detailed main courses on stovetop.
My favorite family cooking traditions
See "About me" section.
My cooking triumphs
I have successfully improvised on some good recipes and made recipes of my own, including a peanut butter oatmeal cookie recipe.
My cooking tragedies
Putting too much baking soda in a huge batch of sugar cookies. D;

Healthy Banana Chocolate Chip Oat Muffins
I love this recipe! When I substituted a low calorie sugar blend for the sugar, these muffins came out to being under 160 calories each! And they're delicious. Will be making this recipe regularly! Possibly with something else other than banana, next time... not a huge fan of the banana and chocolate combination.

Easy Sugar Cookies
These tasted a lot like Nilla wafers. I baked them small and put them in my banana pudding recipe. It turned out really good! My husband was impressed. :)

Spinach Tomato Tortellini
This was sooo amazing. I felt so spoiled while eating this, as my mind felt like I was indulging in an expensive Olive Garden entree... ^^ A must-make if you love Italian food! This will be one of my regular "special occasion" main dishes for years to come!
