Graham Cracker Crust I

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2004
This dough was so crumbly I couldn't roll it flat. I would reccommend using real butter instead of shortening

Classy Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
I think mushrooms would have added a bit more complexity to the dish. I added semi-dried tomatoes which REALLY added to the flavour! Using no-fat sour cream really cut back on the calories and adds a hint of creaminess. I followed the suggestion of serving with potatoes which went together beautifully!

Honey's Butter Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
I don't have a Bundt pan, so I used a 9x13 pan which was fine except you will need to smooth out the extremely sticky batter. Smooth it out before adding the first cinnamon and sugar layer. Lots of compliments and easy to make!

Banana Loaf Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2005
This recipe was so easy and I had all the ingredients I needed already in my cupboard. I would suggest not altering the recipe, it's nice and low-fat as is! I used a banana frosting to sweeten it but next time I think cream cheese frosting would be divine.

Tomato Curry Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
Fun to make, but the flavours are a bit unusual. I might make it again, but it won't be a regular addition.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
These definately had me missing San Diego! Use a high-quality fish as the flavour definately comes out. Frying the fish is a bit too fatty for me to make these regularly. I might try grilling the fish next time. YUM

Gerry's Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
I have varied this recipe based on what ingredients I have and on how much time I have to cook, but every time I get rave reviews! No one can get enough of these enchiladas! I prefer corn tortillas and my husband likes flour, so I usually make some of each in the same batch. I reccomend using the recipe for Tequila Lime chicken from this website to marinate the chicken before cooking.

This takes too long considering you can microwave potatoes and get almost the same taste!

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
My first time cooking a turkey and it turned out wonderful! This makes a fantastic Thanksgiving feast. I didn't have a rack so my turkey just sat in the pan, but it was still fantastic! I also covered the whole pan with foil to keep the moisture in and added oil/spices as I checked on it while it was cooking. Great leftovers!

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
This turned out watery. I would reccomend cooking at a slightly higher temperature. I think fresh green beans would have been nicer than canned, which were too soggy. I added sauteed onion, but I think it only made it soggier.

Bread and Celery Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
My husband, who has always refused to eat stuffing because he hated it, couldn't get enough of this stuffing! He was eating it for breakfast! I couldn't fit all of it in the turkey so I microwaved the rest, which wasn't as good but still a hit. The house smelled great when I was preparing it. YUM

Phyl's Salsa

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2005
I will probably make this again, but use less sugar next time as it turned out a bit sweet for my taste. I will also definately include the seeds of the chilli peppers next time as it was not as spicy as I would have liked it when I left them out. I only simmered it for one half hour as I like my salsa more pico de gallo style.
