Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Frost these with cream cheese icing and they will be a hit. The texture is moist and soft and they have nice flavor. I made a batch for a bake sale and they got good reviews.

Best Guacamole

Very good! True to the ingredients, although a bit bland. I like red onion. Use light flavor olive oil if you don't want to taste it in your guacamole.

Spaghetti Squash I

Delicious! I added yellow pepper and mushrooms and used kalamata olives. The squash needed more than 30 minutes but it was a larger squash.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

5 star method but to be truly delicious, this recipe needs more seasoning. Make a rub with salt and pepper by doubling the paprika, adding garlic powder and a pinch of cayenne, and few tsps of sugar to mimic caramelization on the skin. Throw an onion and some chopped celery in the cavity. Also, roast breast side down to keep the breast meat moist... you won't get the bird out in one piece anyhow so it doesn't really matter how it looks. Easy way to prepare a delicious chicken.

Banana Muffins I

I always make Janet's Rich Banana Bread when my bananas go; it's an awesome recipe, but not very healthy. I wanted some lighter muffins since we're not very active this time of the year. This is a good recipe considering the ingredients but is by no means decadent and has only passable texture and flavor.

Sour Cream Chicken Paprika

My boyfriend thinks this is bland but I love it - it is a rich, comforting, subtle flavor. For his sake I sometimes add red pepper, celery, and/or garlic.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Very good and very quick. I have used half a vanilla bean instead of the vanilla and sometimes stir in a tablespoon of butter as per the other reviews.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

This is a good recipe, but we have learned to add a little extra milk (1/4 cup or so) to make the batter thinner, which makes it easier to work with. Good flavor and a good base for additions like apples and cinnamon, or vanilla and blueberries.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV

The best. I like to form the cookies then freeze half of them. Then you thaw for a few minutes on the sheet and bake normally. In my experience these do not spread much, so unless you want big round cookies be sure to flatten them out a bit before baking.

Excellent recipe. My boyfriend and I make extra at dinner and take the rest as lunch, cold. They are excellent as written but we do not like things too sweet or sour so I have started to use about 2/3 of the sugar and vinegar called for.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Delicious! Used this sauce on a mixture of chicken and sirloin strips with red peppers and zucchini. Still excellent cold as a leftover lunch!
