Mac's Blues Birthday Cake
About this Cook
Cooking is my passion. I'm a SAHM with two beautiful children and the best Husband in the world. I'm constantly trying new recipes for my future restaurant, "Mac & Mary's"
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook skillet meals (chicken with fresh herbs and some kind of crazy sauce), casseroles and I love to bake bread and cookies. I also obsess about the perfect appetizers for get togethers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mama, sister, and I used to make Christmas cookies every year. I have started doing that with my two children. My son and I also hand make all his school treats. He's the perfect little chef!
My cooking triumphs
Chicken enchiladas, spicy fettucine alfredo, and Kahlua brownies are everybody's favorites of mine.
My cooking tragedies
I CANNOT MAKE BISCUITS. It is the thorn in my foot. I've tried it all. One of these days, I will master them. I SWEAR IT!!!!! It's cause my oven doesn't get hot enough. Lol!!

Brown Sugar Smokies
Pretty good. I will make again for sure. I might sprinkle some cayenne pepper on them for a little kick. Thanks for the recipe, TINACLINKENBEARD

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers
Just ok. Nothing special. I did the recipe as written. I might play around with this recipe, though. Thanks for the recipe.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
Good recipe. Biscuits were tender, flaky, and tasty. They did not rise to be HUGE, but they were not flat and hard as hockey pucks either, so a success in my book. They were easy to make. I will make again and probably brush melted butter on the tops before I bake them. I might also sub half butter for half crisco just to experiment. Thanks for the recipe!!!!
