Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2014
This recipe was awesome. I completely messed it up and it was still good. I actually had all of the required ingredients, but they were not visible in my cabinet so I replaced Worcestershire sauce for the soy sauce and flour for the cornstarch. I used bottled minced onion and way too much pepper and it still survived. I just poured the sauce over the chicken because I didn't want extra sauce left over and cooked it in the oven. I ate it with stir fry vegetables and seasoned rice(cheap store package). There was more than enough sauce since I only cooked about 6 pieces of chicken.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
I liked this recipe. It was so easy and had a video. One of the other reviewers was right. You need to have a really good bbq sauce. Nonetheless it was still very good. I found that I needed more than 120z. of bbq sauce though. Love it and good, easy, and simple slow cooker recipe.

Chicken Alfredo

Reviewed: May 30, 2013
This recipe was very good and I will tell you why. It is pretty much fool proof. I forgot to add two of the vegetable ingredients and it still turned out good. I did not have enough cream and I used almond milk to supplement and it still worked. I had a little vegetable oil left in the pan from cooking the chicken and I thought that it was going to be a disaster, but I kept going and it still turned out good. This recipe is a keeper and can stand up to anything. It tastes good the next day which is great because I have to cook many of my meals at night for the next couple of days. When warmed up it tasted great. It was filling and kept its consistency. It was just an all around good recipe. I took the advice given to save time and I cooked the pasta and the broccoli in the same pot.

Karen's Spring Mix Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2013
I followed the directions exactly and I didn't like this dish. It is eatable, but way too soggy. I think that I added way too much vinegar because I wanted to up the flavor. In general I don't know why, but I have a hard time making good salads. I just can't get the proper dressing/salad balance.

Simple Tuna Melts

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2013
I gave this recipe 3 stars because I did not use the same ingredients. I think that this is a great tuna base. It helps those learning to cook get a feel for what should go in a Tuna dish. I as well doctored it up. I used bell peppers, a quarter of an purple onion, 3 boiled eggs, sweet relish, banana peppers, mayo, salt, and pepper. It was delicious. This recipe and the reviewers inspired me to try new things with my tuna because before I had never used banana peppers and bell peppers.

House Fried Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2013
This was a very good recipe. You can cut down on your cooking time if you cook your meat ahead of time and use frozen vegetables. I used frozen vegetables so I added them in all at the same time. Choose your oil wisely. You don't want the rice to be too oily at the end. I bit the bullet and used olive oil mixed with the toasted sesame oil throughout the dish(healthier). As one reviewer stated the oil does disappear quickly. I omitted the chicken and in the future I would omit the ham as well. I think three different types of meat is over kill. I used the recommended one egg, but two would be fine as well. In the future I would try to keep my vegetables as fresh as possible, but it was still very good.

Three Cheese Baked Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
I loved this recipe. Watch out it makes a lot of pasta. In the future I will add more ground, flavor(through seasonings), less pasta(I overcalculated how much I needed), and another layer of provolone cheese.

Margarita Grilled Chicken

I was not a fan of this dish, but it definitely was flavorful. I think that I did not like it because I did not grill the chicken. I cooked it on the stove.

Campbell's® Slow Cooker Hearty Beef and Bean Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2013
I was just not impressed with this recipe, but I can see how others would love it. I took the advice of all the reviewers and I still ended with the common problems that this dish has presented for others. It was very watery although I chose not to add 1/2 cup of water. It still struggled with flavor despite me adding taco seasoning, tbsp. of salsa, salt and pepper, brown sugar, paprika, red pepper flakes, and basil. It does help to reduce the amount of chili powder otherwise it would have been way too spicy for my family's liking. I don't think that I will try this recipe again, but if I did I would drop the cumin from the recipe. I would also drain the diced tomatoes. Even though I drained my beans I think the tomatoes added a lot of water that made the dish take a wrong turn. My chili was very watery.

Campbell's® Healthy Request® Chicken and Pasta Primavera

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2013
I gave this recipe a 4 because it turned out really well when I adjusted the recipe. If I had not changed the recipe it would have been really bland and would have probably gotten a 2 or a 3. I read the reviews on this dish before cooking it and decided to add some things so that my dish would not be bland. I used minced garlic instead of garlic powder and I added a cup of chicken broth to the cream of mushroom. I also added about 5 tbsp. of parmeson cheese vs. the 3 tbsp. in the recipe. I had to prepare my cooked chicken so I seasoned it with blackened seasoning and cooked it in the pan first with oil. After I cooked the chicken I poured the chicken and leftover oil into a bowl. I then added the milk, cream of mushroom, chicken broth, minced garlic, parmesan cheese, and the vegetables into the pan to cook. Once that cooked I added the chicken without oil back into the pan to be mixed with the other ingredients. I used the 2 fresh vegetable packs that I bought from the produce section because they had the cauliflower and broccoli, they were on sale, and there was not a frozen equivalent in the freezer section. To guard against the bland I put garlic pepper seasoning instead of salt in the water that I boiled my noodles in. I also used wheat noodles because I didn't want to open up a new box of spaghetti(white). If I could do it again I would season my chicken with a tiny pinch of salt and the blackened seasoning. Although very good my chicken was still to bland for my liking.

Healthier Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
This recipe was good, but it tasted kind of average for me. It was a plus that it was so easy to make and cooked quickly. I substituted celery seed for celery salt and used a little salt to make up for the missing salt in the dish. I also tried this recipe on salmon and found that salmon was too tough. Tilapia is definitely the way to go with this recipe. In the future I will use less parmesan cheese. I felt that the parmesan cheese overpowered all of the ingredients. Overall a good dish, but you may need to alter it to your liking.
