Guinness® Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2014
The temp and cooking time seemed off when I started at 425. It started to cook really fast on too. I decided to turn down to 400 after 10 mins. Then at the 30 min mark it was done. I bake a lot and think the temp needs to be 350 and bake 40-45 min. Very good bread. It is more of a quick soft bread like banana bread.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2014
too much fat. Cut the butter in half or more for the roux. Use a tiny bit of olive oil to sautee veggies. don't add the bread crumb mixture; the cheese is enough. I added brocolli and cauliflower to mine. I like to add dill or taragon to my tuna casserole.

Original Nestle® Toll House® Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2014
i give it 5 stars as it is written. you do have to make sure you put the dough back in fridge to set up or it will run everywhere. Also, don't put dough on a hot cookie sheet either, it will run. This recipe needs an extra 1/2 cup of flour. i have used this recipe for 20 years with the extra 1/2 cup of flour and that way they don't end up flat.

Vegetarian Mexican Inspired Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2014
I made this but added 3 cloves real garlic, hot chilies instead of green chilies. I used brown rice and pigeon peas. I used 2 tsp chili powder too. They were just fabulous!!

Bean and Kale Ragu

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
The recipe says cook the kale an hour. Not sure why. I used kale in the bag and I only wilted it and only took 5 min or so.

Granny's Italian Zucchini Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
I was skeptical of this recipe because of the mustard. BUT, i followed the recipe and used real garlic(not sure why you shouldn't) I added a little pecorino Romano cheese to the top with some sliced tomatoes because i had some to use up. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS AND EASY!!! HUSBAND really loved it as well!!!
