I love to experiment with recipes to make them my own. I've been cooking and baking since I was a kid, and now I get to make awesome things for my own kid!

My favorite family cooking traditions
We stem from a background in Italian, Irish, German, and French, and my husband brings in his Mexican tradition. Our foods are very flavorful and require a lot of prep or cooking time, but it's all worth it... Especially with a little drinking!

My cooking tragedies
Chocolate chip cookies... It's my weakness and I'm pretty particular! However, many of my cooking triumphs also began as cooking tragedies. Practice makes delicious!

Cilantro Serrano Cream Sauce
This is a great little kick! If you want more spice, add another Serrano pepper. I added a little more garlic as well. I would advise using fresh garlic and pressing it yourself instead of going with jarred garlic. This sauce goes awesome on grilled mahi-mahi tacos and fresh burritos.

Grilled Fish Tacos with Chipotle-Lime Dressing
This was a spectacular recipe! We chopped the fish and marinated it, then baked it in a foil-lined glass pan and covered with foil as well. That marinade is by far the most amazing one I've ever had with fish. It would be great on shrimp or mahi mahi too! We didn't try the dressing, but I will definitely do so next time.

Crab Rangoon III
It's an awesome recipe! I put in more seasonings though. Without a thermometer, it was pretty tricky getting the oil perfect. I suggest starting lower than medium, then working your way higher. Also, don't overfill the wrappers, when it opens in the oil it'll pop everywhere!
