About this Cook
Hello! I am a new stay at home mom. I recently got out of the Air Force to take care of my son, Aidyn, and my soon-to-be daughter (due this month!) Saiya. I am learning to cook now that I have been blessed with the time to do so!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook/bake just about anything sweet and chocolatety. Brownies, pies, cakes, cookies, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I am half Dakota Sioux and I would have to say that as unhealthy as Frybread is for you, it tastes amazing! My husbands family are very well known cooks and have tons of recipes I can't wait to try out and soon perfect to my own liking.
My cooking triumphs
First cooking triumph would be Thanksgiving 2011. My husband and I made an entire dinner, in what seemed like, overnight! The turkey turned out perfect and the pies we did were amazing!
My cooking tragedies
I seem to be really bad at cooking/ preparing the one thing my husband can't live without: red meat! I hope to be able to cook venison and steaks to his liking soon. So far, I have failed on multiple occasions. He's been a trooper and supports me learning to cook :)

Simple Whole Wheat Bread
I've never made bread before and this recipe is great! Never buying bread again! The whole family loves it!

Perfect Turkey
Use this for thanksgiving, christmas, or just whenever! I love this recipe! I hosted my first thanksgiving last year and this was the test recipe, super tender and juicy, zero complaints and many compliments. :D Highly reccommend to anyone, especially those like me who aren't as confident in the kitchen area.
