Penne with Chicken and Pesto

This just wasn't as good as it could have been. Even my pasta loving kids weren't all that impressed. We decided it was too heavy and rich. If I make it again I think I would add lemon and maybe some asparagus.

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

I made these for my family when we wanted cinnamon rolls, but we didn't want to make some that took forever.These were as good as a batch with yeast, but they were a lot faster. "They were the best" and "I loved them" were some of the many comments

Two Tier Strawberry Pie

This pie is fantastic. My husband declared it the best pie he's ever eaten. Like others I used a gram cracker crust and slightly more cream cheese. I happened to have grenadine which added a nice twist.

Jam Kolaches

This is a family recipe for me as well so I have made literally thousands of these cookies over the years. A few comments/suggestions. First, they aren't the same as danishs so if that's what you are wanting then keep looking. Second, these really should only be made with butter. Margerine just isn't the same. Third, we always prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate it overnight. The dough needs to be cold and rolled as thin as possible. I think this will help with some of the complaints about the cookies not sealing well. Finally Solo filling really is the best. The consistancy is thicker and better suited for these cookies.

Brazilian Chicken with Coconut Milk

My whole family (including 2 young kids) liked this. However I did make some modifications. I left out the cayenne and jalapenos, used a can of diced tomatoes instead of fresh, and topped it with fresh basil instead of parsley. It really is more of a curry and the kids loved the sauce over their rice.
