Sweet Potato, Carrot, Apple, and Red Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I've made this twice and given the recipe away twice. It is really tasty. I followed the recipe almost exactly. I added an extra apple, just because and I used smoked paprika because that was one hand.

5 Minute Microwave Cornbread

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
This was really tasty, and just as easy and quick as promised. I grated a bit of orange cheddar on top to make up for the fact that it doesn't brown in the microwave.

Crabmeat Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I am never sure whether I should review a recipe when I have not followed it exactly, but hopefully my changes were not major. I left out the wine as I had none open. I used a combination of mozarella and cheddar as that is what I had. I added mushrooms because I had some. It was tasty and delicious.

Perfect Berry Shortcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
A very nice shortcake recipe. I have made it twice now. It was a lot easier to grate the butter on a flat grater than a box one. I only used fresh strawberries as it seems wrong to use frozen at this time of year.

Sage Cornmeal Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2006
I am eating these now and dropping crumbs in my keyboard. They are very good. I might try a little more sage next time, but maybe they are perfect as is.

Chalau

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2006
We really enjoyed this. I followed the recipe with two small exceptions. I used a little less oil and I thickened it a little with some cornstarch. Great flavour.

Butternut Squash Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2005
I followed the recipe exactly except for adding a dash of ginger and of mace. It was excellent garnished with a glop of yoghurt and the last sprigs of parsley from the garden. I love this time of year when we can enjoy fall soups.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
I have made this twice now. The second time I added a couple of tablespoons of millet as well. I use the dough cycle and finish it in the oven. It makes a high, attractive, delicious loaf. The only problem now is to stop myself making it too often and getting tired of it.
