Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
The taste is AMAZING!! I had a problem with the cake sticking to the pan and it looked like a mess when I tried to flip it out. Any ideas on what I did wrong?? I want to make this again since my Mom, Dad, Hubby and Uncle went crazy over this cake last night.

Sunshine Toast

This is one of my favorite recipes for breakfast. My mom used to call it "Eggs-in-a-frame". It's so easy and for some reason kids just love it.

Sausage Barley Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
I thought this was a decent soup recipe. It is definately not my favorite from this site and due to the time it takes will probably not make often. Overall good but not great. Thanks anyway!

Oven Fries

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
I have no clue what went wrong but these came out limp and greasy and stuck terribly to the greased foil. I cooked them about 7 extra minutes to try to get them to "crisp up" but with no luck. My sons (4 & 6 years) each had a taste and said they hated them. My quest goes on........

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This is good but a little TOO thick and buttery for me. I used 3/4 cup of butter and 3/4 cup of flour and I think I could have gone much less. Maybe 1/4 each. It is definately worth trying again. Maybe I will give it another shot after Christmas dinner.

Cranberry Sauce

PERFECT!!! ~ I have always made this recipe with water but the OJ adds such a great flavor. (I used fresh squeezed OJ and left some little bits of pulp) Thanks - I will definately make this year after year!!

Pumpkin Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I'm thinking that you have to REALLY love pumpkin pie to like this. I made it as directed and although everyone said that they liked it ... after the 1st dip nobody went back for another taste. I personally thought it tasted like un-cooked pumpkin pie filling. I won't make it again BUT thanks for the recipe. BTW - I used the hollowed out pumpkin idea and it looked really nice on the app table.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2007
My 2 little boys loved these but I thought they were way to "cakey". I prefer chewy cookies but other than that not too bad. Thanks - I'll keep looking for my perfect cookie recipe.

Apple Tuna Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2007
Not one of my favorite recipies. I was not really crazy about the combination of apple with tuna. Would probably be better with the apple left out but then it is pretty much just Tuna salad.

Basil-Tomato Tuna Steaks

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
OK, so I actually changed this recipe quite a bit to fit my needs. I sauteed the steaks in sesame oil about 4 min per side (thick steaks), Used diced tomatoes w/chili's instead of fresh and topped with Parmesan cheese instead of the Mozzarella. Mozzarella seemed way too heavy for delicate tuna. It turned out perfectly and saved my dinner since we were planning on grilled tuna steaks untill the rain started coming down in sheets ;). Next time I will try it exactly as written but it was great prepped with items that I usually have on hand. Thanks!!!!

Glazed Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
These are ok. My guests liked them enough however I did not. They are very greasy and kinda on the slimy side. I think they might need to be cooked for about 1/2 hour w/o the sauce to dry them out a little and then basted a bunch of times. I do think the recipe has potential but I will not make them as stated again. Thanks for the idea!

Quick Clam Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2007
Good recipe. It's not something to rock your world(or get you tons of compliments) but it's good and quick for a night when you have no idea what to make. I usually have the ingredients on hand so I may make it again. --- By the way the prior reviewer is right. No way do you want to cook clams for 45 minutes unless you want little chunks of rubber in your sauce.

A+ A+ A+ ... This is a fantastic salmon recipe! The only change that I made was to bake it on the foil instead of in a foil packet. It is SOOOO easy and SOOOO good. Thank you!!!

Inger's Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2007
We were not crazy about this sauce. It really turned out pretty much like doctored up crushed tomatoes. The texture is not sauce like and it has way to much green pepper for us. The green pepper is definately the dominant flavor in this. I might try to doctor up the left overs a little and maybe use my imersion blender to smooth out the texture. Thanks anyway but I'll keep searching for a great spaghetti sauce recipe.
