Watermelon Sherbet

Lightened it up by reducing the sugar to 1/2 cup and using half & half in place of heavy cream. It was still SO GOOD.

Jo's Rosemary Bread

This bread is phenomenally good. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because I thought it was a bit too salty. I'm normally a salt junky. so it would take a LOT for me to say that. Easy fix though, next time I'll just use less. I also made some alterations to the flour in order to make it healthier and to use what I had on hand. I swapped 1/2 of the flour for whole wheat pastry flour, and used AP flour for the rest because I didn't have bread flour. To make up for the subs, I added Vital Wheat Gluten per the instructions on the box. I also used fresh Rosemary from my garden instead of dried. The resulting loaf was wonderfully soft and fluffy on the inside and a little crisp on the outside. So SO good! Next I'll experiment with using even more whole wheat in place of white flour. Thanks for this great recipe!

Goulash Supreme

Ok, admittedly I tweak EVERY recipe I use. So don't be put off by the seemingly vast amount of tweaking I used for this recipe. First, i browned the beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder and a bit of Worchestershire sauce. Also I used about half a large sweet onion (about 1 cup chopped) and 1/2 of a red bell pepper. I did not use stewed tomatoes but instead used 1 8oz can of tomato sauce (no paste) combine with enough diced tomatoes with the juice for the total tomato mix to come to about 4 cups. Then i added a splash of extra water in order to cook the mac satisfactorily (which it did, cooking seperately was not necessary). I used 3 tsp of paprika and only 1 tsp chili, and used 3 cloves fresh garlic instead of just one. I also gave it a dash of ceyenne pepper and red pepper flakes for some kick but i'm not sure it needed it...it turned out a bit too spicey for my taste but probably not spicey enough for my husband's. After these modifications, it turned out VERY good, plus it was very quick and easy.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Good starter recipe. Started out a bit bland but was VERY good after some tweaking. I followed other reviewers' suggestions and added Worchestershire sauce, garlic and pepper. I also added onion salt, plus additional salt. Still needed a little kick so I added paprika.
